Point Lonsdale Pier, Victoria

A small group met at Point Lonsdale Pier for a photo lesson in Astro photography, hoping for clear skies. Instead, we had thick cloud and frequent rain squalls, leaving no chance for astro photography. Turning our attention to the illuminated pier & the stormy clouds. During one shower we took refuge beneath the pier keeping our eyes on the occasional sneaker waves. Although the stars never appeared the wild wet conditions shared with fellow photographers made for a memorable evening and photo capturing the mood of Point Lonsdale in winter.

Photo was taken in my studio. (aka The Cottage) in Ballarat.

The tea pot seems to represent a solution between foes and friends alike. 'Let's just have a cuppa and look at this from a different angle'. I've added the fog and foliage to underline these mystic properties.

Taking an early morning moment to relax in the garden when I spotted this damselfly relaxing in its own moment on a kangaroo paw. Thankfully, I had the camera close to hand and the damselfly was very accomodating in posing for me!
