What a way to make a living! ANNIKA CHALLICE was amazing to work with yesterday and handled the crowd of photographers so well 😂 thanks to Melbourne Camera House and FUJIFILM X GFX Australia for putting on some great workshops - I treated myself to this one and a Melbourne photo walk for my birthday this week. Book Week is coming!
I basically grew up surrounded by books! My dad was the librarian at my primary school and my favourite week of the year was Book Week. I loved picking out which character to dress up as - obviously in this photo I’m dressed as Little Red Riding Hood ❤️ This year I would love to run some mini sessions for your kiddos in their book week costumes - stay tuned for details! 📖

AI is everywhere now, it seems. It has its place I guess, but there is a very specific look to a lot of posts that I’m seeing lately and it makes me sad. I get it - it’s cheap. Free even! It’s just some harmless fun. But there is harm… harm to the artists and creators trying to make a living. Harm to this generation of children who, when they’re grown, won’t know what’s a real memory and what was “generated”. Harm to your clients who wonder if they can really trust you or if you’ll take shortcuts with them as well. Take the time to show your true, authentic self to your clients.
