Back to the Tassy spam.
This incredible place looked a lot different than the last time I visited maybe 6ish years ago with a lot more fallen trees scattered around. But nothing could take away from the beauty of Mount Field National Park. Or Tasmania in general. Going back through the photos already makes me want to plan my next trip 🚐

Who’s as excited as me for milky way season ?!
Breaking up my Tassy spam for one of my favourite Astro shots I’ve taken to date. I’ve had this shot in mind for years but the weather has never cooperated. Lucky for me, my 2am alarm was more than worth it and I spend over an hour shooting in the pitch black before calling it a night.

THIRD TIMES THE CHARM!
After two failed attempts at sunrise, I almost snoozed my 0430 alarm. But being my last day on the peninsula I dragged myself out of bed and boy was it worth it! One of the most amazing sunrises at an incredible location!

After setting up at sunset and shooting for almost four hours I had all but given up as the clouds had started to roll in and the Aurora looked as if it was dwindling. I got back in the van ready to call it a night before something told me to give it one last try. I opened the door to a faint pink covering the sky seen with the naked eye. I got a few shots off before it started to dwindle again.
Beyond incredible night! Even the moon lighting up the night sky couldn’t ruin this show!

One of the best road trips in the world? Absolutely! With hundreds and curves and almost 50 one way bridges, it was also one of the hardest drives I’ve ever done.
But with views like this around every corner, it was 1000% worth it!
