Pt. 3 💛 I captured this little fam from the Netherlands while they toured Aus earlier this year. The brief: An epic landscape and keep it candid. WIN! That is totally my vibe!

What I didn't consider is that their little boy wouldn't speak a word of English. His parents knew enough to get by but weren't fluent. All the usual ways I would build rapport and communicate–out the window! Relying solely on the energy I put out, facial expressions and hand movements, I had to pull this little guy out of his shell. It was challenging, and I wasn't prepared for it, but oh boy, was it rewarding.

A beautiful reminder of the vast spectrum in which we can communicate, connect and bond with each other without words.

I hope I have another session just like this one day soon.
