I just realised a couple of weeks that it's been 15....15 years since I registered SHAUN ROSE PHOTOGRAPHY as a business, today, 11th September 2011!
Mannnn I am old! 🤣🤣🤣
Its actually been an amazing 15 years, I have met so many amazing people and travelled to photograph weddings in the most amazing places, international and domestic (Still have SA, NT and Tassy to cross of my list 🙃 ) even made it as a finallist of The International Wedding Photographer of the Year
I can't thank everyone who have booked me or been Infront of my cameras enough for making this journey so much fun!
Ive managed to still give 100% to a full-time job, run a podcast and run around after 3 kids in that time and I don't think my family hate me... yet!
Its never been easy, its not ment to be easy but its been such an honor and rewarding to capture so many special moments over the years.
Will I be still doing this at the 20 year mark, probably not..🤣
I fell into this line of work and never expected it to be what it has become.
It has always been about the colours, the way the light is different and capturing the different tones and highlights etc that's why I never fell into the preset/Overlay era, and that's the beauty of photography, we are all different and that's the best thing about it.
So...

Lets do a little giveaway, I had a great time photographing some family sessions over the last month or so (as you can see by the photos the colours at this time or years are awesome!) but I don't post any on my socials much anymore as its never about the click or likes, I leave that up to my clients.

I have 5 family sessions I am about to open, and I will give one of them for free.
Some school holiday sessions and even close enough to get some for xmas presets iout of the way.
Session are discounted to $350 this time around.
30 min sunset sessions and you will receive everything that is good from the day.

On the weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Rory Hutchinson and Meg Drage wedding at Lavender Valley Farm.

Rory and Meg had already done the official side of things a couple of days before with Lolly at Ceremonies by Occasion- Civil Marriage Celebrant.
So, the ceremony was abit of fun with Josh in control with the the funny bits!

We headed off for a couple of photos and Boy!, it is just stunning at this time of year! (I sound like a broken record..lol)
We come back to the lavender Farm for some stunning sunset photos.
Its always about the colour and the changing light that makes this time of year pretty awesome!

On the weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Jaydene Williams and Neds wedding.
Ceremony and reception were both on the family farm and Lolly at Ceremonies by Occasion- Civil Marriage Celebrant was in control of the serious stuff.
Before the ceremony we headed up the top of Morsby Rangers for a first look where the wind was howling and then to Nanson for a few photos before heading back to the reception where we were feed very well by Burnt Barrel

It is my favorite time of the year to be shooting weddings and even though a few showers come through it didn't put a damper on the day.

I will say it again, I love a winter wedding!!!
What an amazing day yesterday hanging with Shan Neave and Shanae Baker.
Emu Creek Gardens and Venue Centre was the location for the day.
How amazing is this place in winter, 2028 if I take on any weddings, I will probably only take on winter weddings..lol...its such an amazing time of year!
Julie Myers Celebrant was in control of the legal stuff and it was full of practical jokes by the groomsman which had me cracking up!

We just stayed on the farm for photos, and I had the request for the night photo so I thought we would use the river for a different effect, Yep, they whinged the water was cold, it was actually really nice 🤣

A friggin awesome day with hanging with great people I have gotten to know over the last few years.

Sorry I was at a wedding yesterday.

It's that time of year where its green and the colour tones and the sunsets are just....❤
I have opened up 6 dates for July
They can be family/couples/maternity etc...anything really, except a wedding..lol.
They are a lot of fun and pretty relaxed sessions, beach or bush.
locations will depend on weather.
Sessions are $380
None of this, get 10 images free business and have to pay for the rest, you will receive everything that is good from the day, with nothing more to pay.

On the weekend i had the pleasure of photographing Jack and Kaitlyn Devereux awesome day at Lavender Valley Farm

Both ceremony and reception was held at the lavender farm and Nikki Boyes Celebrant was in control of proceedings.

We headed off site for some photos and before making our way back to a spot where we knew the sunset would be perfect.

On Friday I had the pleasure of photographing Kane & Kate Donnelly

Kate looked amazing at 32 weeks pregnant and she was up for anything all day.

Both ceremony and reception was held at the couples own property and the ceremony was under the control of Julie Myers Celebrant.

Kate and Kane had permission to head up to a local property for some photos which gave us a stunning view of the city and a perfect spot to capture the sunset.

It was a great day hanging out with friends and family.

On the weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Samuel Crouch and Emma Bowen wedding at Emu Creek Gardens and Venue Centre

The lads had a couple of swings with the golf club before getting changed on the fairway.

The ceremony was under the control of Lolly Ceremonies by Occasion- Civil Marriage Celebrant and Ash Friesen Music did what he does best while Emma walked down the aisle !

We went off site to a friend farm for photos and the rain followed us there but that didn't damper the good times!

They partied hard into the night and we ducked out for a quick night photo which I can safely say, I did not catch on fire..ha

Last week I was at the islands and this week I was in Italy...well not really but it sure felt like it.
I had a pleasure of photographing Rianna and Philips wedding on the weekend.
Rianna's family was one of the first families I met when I moved to Geraldton back in 2002 so I was honored to have been apart of this day.
It was an absolutely amazing setup they had put together on their own property.
A great day hanging with great people.

On the weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Jasper O'Byrne and Talia Jakubans wedding out at the Abrolhos Islands.

Its always am awesome experience going out to this magical place and all the history that surrounds it.

I always feel privileged when asked to go out there and would like to that each and everyone who was out there for such a great time and to Jamie and Tiffany for being such great hosts and looking after us vendors over the weekend.

The Islands can be a ruff experience for those who work out there but you couldn't have picked better days to be stuck on an island taking photos and eating amazing food.

The ceremony was held just outside jasper and Talia's camp and photo were taking in places that means everything and that includes the family boat.
We did get wet and ended up with some pretty cool photos at the end of it all.
