The LeoLabs Space Radar is getting an upgrade. Our team at Beam Me Up Media produced their videos about this exciting global space project that is monitoring space junk floating out in space.

Last year, LeoLabs Australia opened its pioneering West Australian Space Radar (WASR) near Collie in the southwest.

Earlier in the year we were up in Exmouth witnessing the amazing total solar eclipse. I filmed my own experience of this fantastic phenomenon which you can see on my 'Moment of Totality' You Tube video here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vus7VZCtnfk

Some of my vision was then used for three special 'Telstra Exmouth Eclipse Case Study' videos. Telstra had to ramp up connections big time for this global event that saw thousands of visitors from around the world converge on the small town.

Pretty cool! See one of the videos below. Great work by Matthew Woods from Perth Observatory.

The Moora NAIDOC Committee organized a fantastic celebration held at the Moora Rec Centre. There were craft stalls, food, dance plus Beam Me Up Media launched our short film, 'Growing Up In Moora', 'Murra Murra, Spirit Journeys'.

It was a privilege to work with the Elders and committee members to develop and produce this short film and it was also a lot of fun. We really got to know everyone, and it was a real collaboration of thoughts and ideas. A massive thanks to Dellar Ryder who was our 'on the ground' coordinator plus big thanks to Madeline Anderson who guided the whole project.

Also a big thanks to all the various sporting associations and members who assisted with filming and provided photos and anecdotes.

Finally huge thanks and appreciation go to the team at Iluka Resources Limited for sponsoring this project, including Bronwyn Williams Fox for all her help.

For our final filming day of the Moora Elders NAIDOC Celebrations short film, we focused on the Moora Reserve and also on sporting days. Playing sport was always a fun and vital part of growing up around Moora. Being part of the various teams in hockey, football, netball and basketball was super important and still is today, in breaking down barriers and belonging to the town.

We also filmed out at the Moora Reserve which was home for many Elders and there are many strong memories of their time living there. It was an honour to hear their stories and be instrumental in bringing them to life. Big thanks to Iluka Resources Limited for funding this amazing project.

Now the big job of editing over 2hours of footage and taking it down to around 20minutes, will begin.

We had a great team of Elders and other family members there to support for another day of filming. Today we focused on heritage, growing up in Moora, working days and the waterways through and surrounding Moora.

Hearing the Elders speak of the waterways and how vital they were as a lifeblood to past survival was so interesting.

Beam Me Up Media started production on a new short film project being commissioned by the Moora NAIDOC Committee. It is to share stories and heritage from Aboriginal Yued Elders about their time growing up in Moora, to be captured and past down to younger generations. The project is being funded by Iluka Resources.

Our first location for filming was at the Moora Museum with Kaye Lewis who had amazing old photos and knowledge and it was great to see all the special heritage now on display.

Then we travelled out to the Mogumber Native Settlement or Mogumber Mission. When we arrived we could feel that this is a special place and we felt honoured to be there. There was a lot of emotion and memories for the elders but also memories of good times too.

It was a long day but we felt that we really connected with our storytellers which is so important, as it is their story to tell and we must always be guided by them. It was a great start to this very special project.

big thanks to the Beam Me Up Media team.
