As I mentioned in my first post, I am now working in Line boats. We take the lines off the front and back or Bow and Stern of the ship for large container and cargo ships and pass them usually 50m behind or in front of the ship to the wharf where they are secured to hold the ship in place while it loads or unloads at one of the coal, gas or aluminium plants in Gladstone. All of which are by the water. This photo was taken at tonight and shows a tug Boat pushing the container ship into the wharf. At this point the lines have already been taken to shore by yours truly.

So after 12 years in the Navy I have returned to being a civilian. Working casually for a Line Boat civilian company currently and enjoying setting my own routine. Gladstone is 6 hours north of Brisbane and specialises is Coal, Gas and Aluminium mining. And the people are very nice to be around.

And now for something different.. Two of my favourite photos from The Rocks, Sydney, where there was a massive collection of food vendors for Chinese New year, I took the following two photos. I love the "fly on the wall" vibe you get, but also the contrast of the colour and reflections due to heavy rain on that night.
