Drop a comment below of a wildlife encounter that is forever burned into your brain, here is mine from our most recent trip.

At the very top of New England National Park, it was cold, wet and thick fog was constantly coming and going. In a short moment of clarity this beautiful Spotted-tail Quoll stopped for moment atop the moss and lichen covered rocks to briefly look my way before heading off into the forest.
I love Australia's wildlife!

Now that we're proud camper owners, long weekend trips are officially on the horizon.
Jai and I spent a few days at Thungutti Campground in New England National Park. The first day was comfortable… the following days were challenging.
Despite the cold temperatures, heavy fog, and sideways rain, two Flame Robins around our campsite were incredibly active. This handsome male chose the most aesthetic perch, unfortunately a little too close to where I was already set up.
I would’ve loved the foreground of the second image combined with the eye contact from the first. But hey, that's wildlife photography for ya.

Eastern Shovel-nosed Snake! An epic find from a trip with back in 2024. These burrowing specialists use that upturned snout to burrow through the soil, a helpful trait when the primary part of their diet is other reptile eggs!
