Hi all, as some of you know, I had a bit of an incident on Monday the 13th. Initially I thought it would just be a day or two in hospital before getting back on my feet, but things turned out to be more than expected.

I was only fully discharged on the night of Monday the 20th. I’ve been recovering at my girlfriend’s place this past week and will finally be heading home this afternoon, which means I’ll have access to my computer again and can resume work on photo packages and other client jobs.

For those curious about what happened, I was out getting exercise on a solo mountain bike ride when I had a heavy crash on a trail feature that wasn’t usually there and I didn’t see till the last second. Next time I’ll look where I’m going!

I managed to walk back off the trail to my van, loaded up the bike, and headed to hospital as I suspected internal damage.

It turned out to be more than expected, with internal injuries including my spleen being split in half causing serious internal bleeding. Further scans also revealed fractures to my shoulder blade and index finger.

I was transferred for spleen embolisation surgery. During recovery, around two thirds of my spleen died, which led to inflammation, fevers, and a fair bit of pain, and meant I was kept in hospital longer for observation.

I’m feeling much better now, and it’s looking like a few weeks of light duties while I recover.

Unfortunately, I’ll be missing ASBK Round 3 in Adelaide, but I’m looking forward to being back trackside as soon as I can.

Thank you for the messages and visits and for the patience with photo packages

Quick update for everyone from the Champions Ride Days event, there will be a slight delay in getting the photos uploaded.

I’ve had a bit of an incident and will be stuck in hospital for a few days, but I’ll get everything up as soon as I’m back on my feet.

Appreciate the patience and support.

Pictures take for Cameron Dunkers 2026 helmet.
The dark images were shot in the day in one of the tunnels with a Godox AD600 and a hex soft box. The motion effect was done in camera with a glass prism filter.

Attention Champions Ride Days attendees.

This weekend I’ll be away, but Cameron from Visceral Visuals will be at the track shooting for me 📸

Everything will run exactly the same as usual, photos will be uploaded and delivered through Motothing.com with the same process you’re used to.

I’ll be sending out the photo package links early next week (fingers crossed for a smooth turnaround 🤞).

Appreciate the support as always, and make sure you give Cameron a wave if you see him trackside!

I will see you all at the next one.
