Hi Everyone,
Please be advised, I will be deleting ALL photos from my page this coming week due to continued unauthorized use of my photos by multiple news agencies that refuse to respond to me about usage fees/commission that I am absolutely entitled to.
In 2025 my photos will be watermarked on facebook due to this being an ongoing issue over the last 5 years. They have the money to pay, they just don't want to - they do it to a lot of local footy photographers and it's not ok. No business is entitled to just take our photos off here just because they're not watermarked - meta data in the photos still have our copyright information.
Using my photos for any kind of profit, whether it's business marketing (selling/promoting a product, service or social media page) or in a business setting (prints within an business office or posting on business social media pages) - without my approval - is not ok and a cease and desist will be issued. There are a few people that have asked to use my photos for these purposes and I've happily approved without charging, simply because they had the courtesy to ask.
I'm more than happy to continue to provide dropbox links of my photos without watermarks to the clubs I volunteer for and ANYONE that enquires about photos for PERSONAL USE (posting on social media or printing off for in home). So please, always ask if you want a full resolution copy of a photo, just send me the one/s you're talking about and I'll give you a link to download them when I can.
Tagging/crediting photographers in your posts is always the courteous thing to do if you obtained the photos for free. I feel that the community has been really good with that in the last year or two, so genuinely - thank you!
Please ensure you save any photos you'd like for personal use in the coming days :)
