Sometimes the things that are so second nature to us are the exact things other people would find fascinating to watch.

I’ve had the beautiful opportunity to witness Cass Deller painting in person, and it’s incredible! She drops into this intuitive flow, drawing inspiration from the nature around her and somehow turning it into the beautiful artwork and patterns she’s known for.

For Cass, this is simply what she does. But for the rest of us, getting to see behind the scenes of how something comes to life gives us another way to connect with her and her work.

It’s such a good reminder in that for all of us creating content for our businesses. Don’t only show the finished piece. Invite people into the process, the inspiration, the decisions and the parts of your work that feel so familiar to you that you’ve forgotten they might be fascinating to someone else.

Because letting people see how you do what you do is also letting them get to know the person behind it.

It feels like such an exciting season for Kerry-Lee

With more speaking opportunities presenting themselves, a new website coming together with Leith from and a beautiful new brand direction taking shape, it was time to create the imagery to bring it all to life.

And what a story she has to tell.

Kerry-Lee is an extraordinary open-water swimmer, completing a 20.4km swim around Wop-pa / Great Keppel Island, now recognised as a Guinness World Record. She’s also a speaker, advocate and the woman behind The Wingless Warrior.

Our shoot was about creating a beautiful library of imagery for this next chapter, across her new website, speaking opportunities, media and socials.

And beyond everything Kerry-Lee has achieved, she’s an absolute delight to spend time with. She’s warm, kind and a phenomenal storyteller. You can’t help but be drawn to her.

I spend a surprising amount of time making dining tables look like offices.

So when I walked into Kim’s home in Nelson Bay and saw THIS office? Ohhhh, the excitement!

Beautiful built-in cabinetry. Gorgeous styling. Incredible light. And that same bright, airy feel carried throughout the entire home, which meant we could create so much variety without going anywhere.

And it felt like such a full circle moment walking through those doors, because four years earlier Kim had told me she’d just bought the block of land this beautiful home would eventually sit on.

Now here we were, shooting her brand photos inside it.

And the best part? I get to do it all again.

I’m heading back to Kim’s beautiful home on 23 October for another Social Content Shoot.

Last night I stepped in for a last-minute Q&A panel at TASH CORBIN | Marketing & Strategy Mentor Heart Centered Business Conference.

I’ve photographed this conference for years, and it’s the most warm and welcoming room. This is the final year Tash is hosting it, which makes it feel extra special.

Tash has been asking me to speak for years, and honestly, I’ve been ducking and weaving the opportunity. The reason 🫠 postpartum, thyroid cancer recovery, perimenopause, and an ADHD diagnosis, combined with long stretches of insomnia.

For years I’d been feeling like I suddenly couldn’t trust my own cognition. Losing my train of thought mid sentence, walking into a room and forgetting why I was there. Saying yes to a stage felt impossible when I didn’t know if I could trust my brain to show up for me.

With the support of my doctor, endocrinologist, HRT, and supplements from my naturopath, I’m happy to report I’m sleeping way better and things are balancing out.

I love this snap EMMA LOVELL - The Bleisure Coach captured. It’s what it feels like to be in a mastermind with Tash. She cheers you on, reflects your brilliance back to you, and mentions your name in rooms of opportunity. She’s the ultimate connector, and I’m so grateful to have a friend like her backing me.

When was the last time you actually updated your profile photo? 👀

As a real estate agent, you’re the face of your brand. People will often see you online before they meet you in person, so it’s important there’s a real sense of alignment between the two.

You’re asking people to trust you with one of their biggest assets. Your imagery should feel current, professional and, most importantly, like you.

Imagine creating months of content for your business in one beautiful location, surrounded by a group of women cheering you on.

Behind the scenes with the incredible .conwell of .falcon

I’m in awe of Ash. The grief she’s carrying is inconceivable, and the fact that she’s been so brave and has channelled her pain into creating such practical and caring resources for others is amazing.

Ash was just 29 and 17 weeks pregnant with triplets when her husband tragically passed away in an accident.

From her unimaginable loss, she’s gone on to create a comprehensive course to support those who are bereaved.

What to do when someone passes away, practical ways we can show up to provide support and love, and how to get your affairs in order so the people you love aren’t left untangling the chaos.

She’s also creating a complete workplace grief support system that goes well beyond bereavement leave. Real, tangible and practical ways to care for the people in our businesses.

I’m so grateful that photography connected us Ash and I love that the kookaburras have joined us singing at both shoots.

I absolutely LOVE this style of shoot, these days are always so encouraging and collaborative.

While one person is in front of the camera, others can get changed, capture BTS content or sit in as mock clients for one another.
