I am Mandy, hence the name MNDY Photography (It’s pronounced “em en dee why” photography, but “mandy” photography is fine also.) I’ve worked in advertising, marketing + partnerships for the last 10 years + after growing up in Melbourne, I now live in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast. I am unapologetically a food addict, all day, everyday! (But I hate bananas.)

Currently dreaming about exploring

every corner of New York City + taking photos of flamingos in Aruba.

I’m a lover of plants, road trips + coffee + trying little by little to do my bit towards a sustainable planet.

CONFIDENCE IN BUSINESS / How good is confidence in business? if you’re a business owner, feeling confident in your business is near as good as gets. You feel bulletproof, on fire, in flow. A big driver of confidence is how your brand looks from the outside. You might be chaotic behind the scenes, but if your imagery presents fresh, brand aligned and intentional it makes a world of difference.

YOU WON’T REGRET IT / Have you ever met anyone who said “I really regret buying those concert tickets”?

Investing in professional photography is kind of like buying concert tickets. It hits the bank account upfront which feels a bit scary, there’s a bit of fun and anticipation in the lead up, but by the time the concert rolls around, you cannot wait, you feel like it’s almost free because you paid for it ages ago and the memories you make pay it back 10x.

Hiring a photographer follows a similar path - you book and pay for the photographer, the shoot happens which is fun, then you receive your gallery, more excitement and start uploading your brand new pics on to your website or social media planner. Then the pinnacle… engagement, clicks and sales start rolling in. At that point, you’re not thinking about how much the photographer cost, you’re thinking about how much money your making in sales and good it feels to have a fresh gallery of photos to use for months ahead!

Invest in your business. Go to the concert!

OUTDATED PHOTOS / If your brand photos don't reflect where your business is or who you are right now, that gap is costing you.

Quietly in the background, in the enquiries that don't come, the clients who scroll past, the opportunities where someone else looked more the part. Deep down you probably know you’ve used too many of your photos too many times, or the photos taken 2 years ago are no longer a true reflection of what your brand is today. FOUNDERS / If you are the founder of a service or product business, I will always recommend you get photos of yourself. I'm sure you've heard it 100 times before - people do business with people - yes the product or service is part of it, and your brand is also part of it, but mostly they are buying in to YOU, so showing your face as the founder is really important.

The brief: Sam and Tahlia needed imagery that felt credible and approachable. Polished enough to position them as experts, but warm enough to connect with the practitioners on a personal level.

RECOMMENDATIONS / No one asked, but why the hell not...

1. PODCAST: . The gals + understand the assignment. The perfect balance of light hearted fun girlie chat and easy to action life hacks.

2. PLAYLIST: 'music for writing' playlist on . The perfect background noise for deep work.

3. TV SHOW: . Look, IYKYK and if you don't you need to, before and start showing up on all sorts of shows and movies. (Side note: Off Campus is great, but it's got nothing on HR!)

MEET AMY / making it look easy at her branding session. But when you've had as much experience as Amy has had on shoots, it's not surprising she nailed it.

A preferred personal stylist at Pacific Fair and someone I love collaborating with, whether that's taking clients shopping before a shoot or being on set on the day to make sure everything looks exactly right.
