Paronella Park, Queensland, Australia.
What a stunning place! Jose' Paronella was a spaniard who fell in love with Queensland (how could you not!). Incredibly innovative for his time, introduced power to the area by building a hydropowered pump from the water fall. To celebrate, he would light up the falls at night, then added gardens, a ball room, tennis courts and residence for everyone to enjoy. Destroyed but rebuilt by 3 floods, then devastated by fires, this magic became hidden in this dense forest. The current owners have done an incredible job bringing it back to life, now making it a must visit for anyone passing through.@

A bit of nature photography while away camping last week....

Who knew such a nice looking flower was a w**d, Milkw**d, and host to so many creatures! The Monarch Butterfly caught our attention first, which is also known as a milkw**d butterfly. Unfortunately, it was busy with Aphids, again, the milkw**d's own brand of aphids! Some fascinating details in the Sand wasp, and of course my usual friends 🐝

Burra, South Australia (October 2022)

We stopped at Burra on our way home from the Flinders Ranges and had an amazing time exploring the Heritage Passport Trail. You can grab your key from the Burra and Goyder Visitor Information Centre to explore the townships well preserved history at your own pace. Well done to the Burra Community!
