Some more photos from Tower Hill last Wednesday, This time Southern Water skinks and the much smaller and more elusive Southern Grass Skink. Did see one copperhead but she disappeared into the undergrowth rather quick so no photos, but there will be other opportunities.

Been a while since I posted here as I have had a bit on, but finally got back behind the glass on Wednesday down at Tower Hill. This little Superb wren caught the eye on the way around, the males are always stunning this time of year. With the warmer weather about I was hoping for some snakes and lizards but will save them for another post.

Went for a drive today down to Port Fairy and across to Portland. Took the wrong camera today so the trusty old 6d MK2 came out for the first time in a while. Pics of a rainbow at Narrawong on the way through to Portland and a scenic pic of the coast from Cape Nelson lighthouse, Unfortunately no whales today. I did play with an arty image of the rainbow as well, just for something different.

Quick walk tonight as I knew the batteries in the torch were nearly dead, but thought I would take a chance at finding some frog or bandicoots. Could here the frogs but couldn't find them but did manage to spend about 10 mins with this little bandicoot , who seemed unfazed by my presence or the torch and just carried on digging up his food.

Despite the weather not being the best last Wednesday at Tower Hill the sun did come out for a bit and gave some beautiful golden light so I made the most of it and grabbed out my 16mm lens which I don't get to use very often and did some hand held landscape photos including a 5 shot and 8 shot panorama. Sometimes it would be nice to take the tripod with me lol.
