Surprise upgrade to a luxury suite — and our window looks directly onto Labrang Monastery. One of the most significant Tibetan Buddhist sites in the world. Just... right there.

The room had a full reading nook stocked with Tibetan culture books, hand-embroidered decor with gold threading, and a meditation corner. No air-con (you’re at 3,000m — you won’t need it), but the vibe more than made up for it.

This is exactly the kind of travel moment you can’t plan for — you just have to show up.

本来订的是普通房，没想到他们帮我们upgrade了 😳

豪华套房，而且窗口直接望出去就是拉卜楞寺！

房间里有一个专门的阅读角，放了好多西藏文化的书，床头有手工金线刺绣的装饰，还有一个可以打坐冥想的角落。没有冷气——但3000米的海拔，根本用不上。

这种旅行的惊喜，是计划不来的。

Everything you see here is made entirely from yak butter. By hand. By monks.

This is the butter sculpture museum inside Labrang Monastery — one of the “Three Arts” of Tibetan Buddhism alongside thangka painting and appliqué embroidery.

The detail is insane. And here’s the part that blew my mind — to sculpt at this level of precision, the monks have to keep dipping their hands in ice water so the butter doesn’t melt from their body heat.

This tradition started in the 15th century and is still alive today. Every year on the 15th day of the Lunar New Year, new sculptures are made and displayed.

I genuinely didn’t expect this to be the most unforgettable part of our visit. But here we are.

拉卜楞寺里面有一个酥油花博物馆，里面所有的佛像、花卉装饰，每一件都是僧人用双手雕刻的。

最让我震惊的是：为了不让牛油被手的温度融化，工匠在雕刻的时候要不断把手泡进冰水里，才能继续操作。

这门艺术从15世纪传承到现在，每年正月十五都会制作新的酥油花展出。

进去看到的瞬间真的傻眼了——完全没想到会有这么精细的东西藏在这里。

3 kilometres. 1,700+ prayer wheels. And complete silence except for the sound of spinning.

This is the world‘s longest prayer wheel corridor — at Labrang Monastery in Gannan, China. Every wheel contains sacred scriptures, and turning one is believed to be the equivalent of reciting those prayers out loud.

We walked it alongside pilgrims who had travelled their entire lives to be here. Nobody rushing. Nobody on their phones.

In a world that’s always speeding up, this felt like the most radical thing we‘ve done all year — just slow down.

每一个轮子里面都装着经文，转动一圈就等于读诵了一次。我们走的时候旁边都是藏族朝圣者，没有人在赶时间，没有人在刷手机，大家都安安静静的走着，默念着。

那种宁静，是我在城市里很久没感受过的东西。

Full makeover, traditional headdress, the lot.

This is at Labrang Monastery in Xiahe, Gannan — one of the most important Tibetan Buddhist sites in the world and honestly one of the most unexpected travel highlights we've had all year.

藏服变成这趟旅行最好玩的体验之一 😂👸🏻

在拉卜楞寺旁边的走廊发现了藏服体验，一套下来包括化妆、头饰，大概130块人民币，可以穿一整天到晚上8点！

穿上去那一刻真的笑到停不下来，但镜头一放好，就自动摆出”西藏公主“的pose了哈哈哈

釜山，你真的把我们喂得很好。

Running Man主题公园本来只打算进去拍几张照就走——结果完全待不住脚，每个游戏都玩得满头大汗、笑个不停。如果你去釜山觉得这种地方太观光、不想去，我劝你别跳过。真的很好玩。

之后去了海云台海滩，附近有烤肉，吃得超满足。真的很喜欢那里的氛围，完全不想走。

在Everland吃到的炸酱面——我知道这道菜到处都有，但真正做得好的时候，酱汁够浓够厚，面条咬劲刚好，那个味道真的没得比。悄悄变成整趟旅程最难忘的一餐。

还意外发现了Viking Hus（비킹후스）——就在釜山站附近，乐天安可酒店二楼，主打海鲜手工汉堡。在韩国推荐汉堡好像有点奇怪，但真的太好吃了。很釜山，很意外，非常值得。

Busan, you really fed us well.

런닝맨 RunningManTheme Park was one of those things we went into half-expecting to just take a few photos and leave — ended up staying way longer than planned, laughing and sweating through every game. If you’re going to Busan and skipping it because it sounds touristy, don’t. It’s genuinely fun.

After that, Haeundae Beach had great bbq around the area and it was fantastic! We loved it so much.

The jjajangmyeon we had in 에버랜드 (withEverland)— I know it’s a dish you can get anywhere, but when it’s done properly, properly thick black bean sauce, noodles with the right bite — there’s nothing like it. One of those meals that just quietly becomes a highlight of the trip.

We also stumbled into Viking Hus (비킹후스) near Busan 부산Station — a local seafood craft burger spot on the 2nd floor of the Ramada Encore Hotel. Not what you’d expect to recommend in Korea but honestly it was so good. Very Busan, very unexpected, very worth it.

上周的釜山，本来是一场雨天旅行。

早上来到白浅滩文化村（Huinnyeoul Culture Village），天空灰蒙蒙的，还下着小雨。虽然没有期待中的蓝天海景，但雨中的海边反而有另一种宁静的感觉。我们躲进咖啡馆里，尝了当地很有人气的 Croffel，配上一杯咖啡，看着雾气中的大海发呆。

之后搭乘 Sky Capsule。虽然少了明信片般的晴天景色，但沿着海岸线慢慢前进，看着雨滴打在车窗上，也是一种很特别的体验。

没想到来到甘川文化村的时候，天气开始放晴了。

阳光慢慢露出来，色彩缤纷的房子也变得更加漂亮。站在山坡上俯瞰整个村庄，终于明白为什么这里会成为釜山最具代表性的景点之一。

旅行很多时候就是这样。

最难忘的回忆，往往不是一切顺利的时候，而是在计划被打乱之后，意外看见了不同的风景。

Busan weather had other plans for us.

We started the morning at Huinnyeoul Culture Village under grey skies and light rain. Not exactly the sunny coastal views we were hoping for, but somehow the rain gave the whole place a different kind of charm. We headed to the Sky Capsule and took in the dramatic coastline through rain-speckled windows. Riding along the coast in the rain wasn’t the postcard-perfect experience you usually see online, but honestly, it felt pretty special in its own way. The sea looked dramatic, the windows were covered with raindrops, and everything felt a little slower. After the ride, the weather began to improve, so we stopped at a small café, tried the famous croffel outdoors, grabbed a coffee, and watched the ocean slowly emerge from the mist.

Then Busan surprised us.

By the time we reached Gamcheon Culture Village, the rain had eased and patches of blue sky started appearing. Suddenly the colourful houses lit up, the alleyways came alive, and we got to see why this place is one of Busan’s most famous spots. The views from the hillside were incredible.

Sometimes the best travel days aren’t the ones that go exactly as planned. They’re the ones where the weather changes, plans shift, and you end up experiencing a place in a way you never expected.

首尔景福宫旁手工刀切面太好吃了！🍜 Handmade Kalguksu Near Gyeongbokgung

在景福宫旁边发现了这家手工打面馆——我们点了刀切面和冷面，冷热搭配。刀切面的汤底清淡不咸，面条QQ有弹性，完全是手工的口感。韩国的小菜也很赞，脆脆的很爽口。最重要的是——离景福宫走路只需要两分钟，逛完宫殿直接过来吃！

Stumbled across this handmade noodle shop right next to Gyeongbokgung and it completely delivered. We ordered the kalguksu — knife-cut noodles in a clean, light broth — and naengmyeon cold noodles on the side. The noodles are handmade, you can taste the difference. Chewy, bouncy, not heavy at all. Two minute walk from the palace gates. Don’t sleep on this one.
