More exciting news and press after a chat with ABC News today.

This image ‘Going in circles’ by Hervey Bay photographer Ryan Tutor won the Urban category in the Landscape Awards 2025 run by Australian Photography magazine.

The judges said the night photograph of the roundabout at the corner of Main St and Torquay Rd in Pialba was “a striking and evocative image” that was a “clear favourite” in a field of around 500 entries.

Ryan speaks with ABC Wide Bay Breakfast on Saturday morning about his reaction to the award, and the process of capturing his award-winning photograph.

Received the amazing news that my photo ~Going in Circles~ took out 1st place at this year’s Landscape Awards in the urban category. 🥳 Also finished in the top 20 for my aerial shot ~Sea Wings.~ Couldn’t be more humbled with this accomplishment and chuffed to tick this off my 2025 goals. ✔️

Couldn’t have done it without my partner in crime . Thanks for all your continued support! Also a big thank you to all the organisers, sponsors and judges of this year’s competition.

~Out To Sea~

Throughout the years I have always veered away from photographing the drainage pipes leading into the sea. With such beautiful coastline always the stones throw away, it was literally a no-brainer. I thought, why in the hell would I document and capture this hideous, man-made pollutant, when I can go off the beaten path and capture a bit of authenticity.
Well, I have given in. Seeing this view almost daily during my government allowed exercise time, I have somehow found some beauty in this pipeline moving the storm water of Urangan out to sea. Glad some bicyclists just so happened to cycle through the frame to add a bit more motion to the shot.
Are you guys seeing more bikers out in your area as well?

May you all have a bonza day as this Earth Day brings a newfound appreciation for how truly amazing and special mother earth and freedom are to us all.
