Yesterday I had the chance to attend the Kindred Creatives photography workshop in a beautiful little corner of Tassie.
Yesterday was such a good reminder of the importance of investing in your learning. Not just learning new techniques, but stepping outside my usual way of working and seeing things differently.
Claire showed me how to embrace my analytical brain, to slow down, look for the angles, notice the light and really think about how I can use light to change how I create an image.
Teagan works in-the-moment way, and it was so inspiring to watch her move through a session, pivot when needed and create a story as it unfolded.
They both have such different approaches, and I loved seeing that there isn’t just one right way to photograph a family or tell their story.
I left feeling really inspired and excited to try some new things in my own work. Sometimes you just need to step away from what you know, learn from someone else and come home seeing things with fresh eyes. 🫶🏻
