Another weekend gone, another show done and dusted.

Bring on Northampton Show on September 17th.

A huge thank you to the Chapman Valley Show Society for a wonderful show. I felt very privileged to have done as well as what I did in the photography section. Also a huge thank you to all those that praised my work today and were happy to talk photography with me.

I now have two gorgeous rosettes to display with pride.

Lately I had been feeling a bit down on myself about my photography, I was wondering if perhaps I didn't have the skills required to do any good as a professional photographer as a proper career.

So to lift my spirits, I decided to enter the 2022 Mullewa Show just to see if I had any luck of maybe snagging one or two prizes.

Instead, I was left standing in the exhibition pavilion, on a video call to mum crying tears of happiness at what I saw before me.

I ended up with 11 of my 13 entries receiving either a first or second place, taking out both 1st and 2nd in a few categories. In total, I won first in 6 categories (ok the photo book maybe doesn't count given I was the only entry lol) and second in 5 catergories.

There was some phenomenal competition and I was so proud of myself to achieve what I did.

However the biggest shock came when it was time to collect my entries and prize money, as it then become clear I had actually won the trophy prize for having the most point acquired in the section.

So thank you very much to all those that have supported me on this journey so far.

One of my proudest achievements ever was to gain this certification.

It took 4 attempts, multiple interruptions, covid-19 causing chaos twice, a state lock out and numerous other issues but I powered through and I did it.

Now starting September 12th, 2022, I begin the next step of beginning my Diploma of Photography and Photo Imaging.
