Why my sunset sessions are so valuable…
Because they’re about so much more than beautiful photographs.
They’re about choosing experiences over things.
Putting the phones away.
Stepping outside together.
Being fully present with your children, without rushing to the next thing on the list.
They’re about connection and presence.
Little hands being held.
Chasing each other through the grass.
Giggles. Cuddles. Play.
A chance to slow down, reconnect and simply spend time together, something that becomes more valuable as the years pass.
They’re about making ordinary things feel extraordinary.
Because a sunset walk might feel like just another evening now… but one day, you’ll realise it was one of the evenings you wish you could have back.
And perhaps that’s the most beautiful part,
These are the good old days.
One day, these ordinary little moments will be the memories you treasure most.
The tiny hands you once held.
The way they ran to you.
The sound of their laughter.
The feeling of having everyone together, exactly as you are right now.
What a gift it is to have those memories preserved, not just in photographs, but in your heart.
So yes, we’ll make beautiful photographs at sunset.
But more importantly, we’ll make time for each other.
And I think that’s something worth far more than photographs alone..
