Chic Photo Pod needs your help! 📸

Are you a people person with a knack for technology with an interest within the events industry?

Due to high demand and the fact that I juggle 2 other farming businesses and a 7 year old that never stops, I am looking for someone to help run the Photo Booth at events on a casual basis. I will provide full training to give you the confidence to eventually run events on your own while I concentrate on all the behind the scenes.

Based in Inverell. Current events booked are mostly Friday & Saturday arvo/nights and are located in Inverell, Glen Innes and Armidale but occasionally travel further.

Wages negotiated based on experience.

Responsibilities:

* Set up and pack down photo booth equipment at events.
* Operate the photo booth and assist guests.
* Troubleshoot any technical issues.
* Manage and maintain props and supplies.
* Ensure high customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

* Experience in customer service or events is a plus however not essential.
* Technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends mostly Friday & Saturday.
* Reliable transportation and willing to travel
* Ability to lift and set up equipment.

Desired Qualities:

* Outgoing, personable, and detail-oriented.
* Reliable and punctual.

💛sHedway is a team of people from the shearing shed family proactive about supporting mental health in the sheds. They are a mix of shearers, woolhandlers, contractors and mental health professionals, running sHedway as a not-for-profit charity.

💛sHedway works towards making it OK to talk about mental health in the sheds, and share ways to help someone you’re worried about, as well as yourself.

💛sHedway provides certified workshops in mental health first aid and su***de awareness for trainers, classers and contractors (and shed staff), hosts Toolbox Talk workshop for shearing schools and shed staff, advocates for positive workplace
culture, and links shed staff to counselling services.

ALL proceeds from our Raffle Draws at Men's Night Out will go to sHedway, so come support this organization!

Can you believe it’s just over a year since Chic Photo Pod launched? 😮

So to mark the milestone I thought it was only fitting that I introduced the brains and face behind this extraordinary little biz, aka - Me!! 🤭💁🏼‍♀️

My name is Tess…short for Therese which is my middle name.

I was originally born in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney but grew up having the best of both worlds going back and forth to a country town called Bathurst in the central tablelands of NSW, where my mum grew up and where all my family now reside. Although growing up on the beaches, deep down I have and always will be a country girl.

I met my Husband, a local Glen Innes boy, almost 12 years ago and decided to move to the middle of no where, North Star/Croppa Creek area.

In 2017, we welcomed our beautiful miracle, our son 🥹🥰

Together with our cheeky farm loving toddler, we moved to the outskirts of Inverell in 2019.

In 2020 we started our own farm contracting business. So between raising our son, running our business and the usual house/farm duties, I had my hands full.

Skip forward a few years and here I am coming to terms with the fact I am about to turn forty and wanted to celebrate in style by “capturing” everlasting memories. And like most girls, we love a good selfie but I also knew I would forget to take any photos.

Unfortunately where we live, we don’t always have access to what the big smoke does. I wanted to be able to offer something unique and affordable. Just because we live in the bush doesn’t mean we can’t have the same luxuries!

So in 2023, Chic Photo Pod was born! Launching it at my 40th Birthday party. 🥳

I’m a social butterfly by nature so I love to spend time with family and friends. Sitting by a campfire with a couple of beers and my not so little boy is my absolute world.

I love to travel and learn new things. I’m constantly studying and gaining accreditations, of which I’ve almost completed my diploma in Ag Management. 👏🏼

And it’s not a surprise that I love photography! 📸

It’s been an absolute pleasure bringing such an amazing addition to our area. I’ve met so many beautiful people along the way and I’m incredibly grateful for all the support from not only my friends and family but the community as a whole. 🥰
