Do you know there is a Sunraysia based brand of equine and canine cleaning products, made here in Australia? I discovered Kate and her Horse Queened products earlier this year, and had the opportunity to try the dog shampoo on Theo and Claire. I'm so pleased with the result.
Their coats are clean, shiny and soft to the touch and smell lovely. Best of all, when I accidentally flicked suds into my eyes, they didn't sting! Anyone else do that to themselves? πŸ˜…
If you're looking for Australian made cleaning products and the chance to support a local business, definitely take a look at Horse Queened.

I spent three days photographing at the Wentworth Show this year, enjoying the sun (much nicer than last years mud!), meeting lots of lovely people who were competing in both equine and dog trial events, as well as photographing the opening ceremony which featured singer Josh Arnold along with local kids signing a song created with Josh.

It's an honour to be trusted with capturing these moments β€” thank you to the Wentworth Show Society for having me back, and to everyone who stopped to say hello.

The full story is up on the blog, along with the link to the photo galleries if you'd like to find your photos from the show πŸ’›

Photos from Sunday at the Wentworth Show Society - Equestrian Events are online.

The three days of the event were fantastic and I loved meeting so many talented and friendly people. And horses of course πŸ˜„

If you would like a photo to be converted to black and white, let me know and I'll make the conversion free of charge. My work is almost exclusively in black and white, however I've been advised for event photography colour is better.

Back in June I had the honour of meeting and photographing a dog named Lexie.

Earlier this year Lexie required emergency surgery. Unfortunately her mum was not able to pay for surgery upfront, which was a requirement by local vets.
Understandably panicked and desperate for help Lexie's mum got in contact with the Lort Smith Animal Hospital in Melbourne. Lexie's mum drove through the night to Melbourne, where surgery was held and Lexie's life was saved.

As a dog owner who had to drive through the night to have emergency surgery performed on one of my dogs, Theo, I understand the feelings Lexie's mum experienced. I was lucky to be in the position to pay for the surgery upfront; many are not in this position.

Lort Smith has today launched a giving campaign, with every dollar donated across 24 hours doubled. They are hoping to raise $150,000. All money raised will be used for animals like Lexie, allowing them to have emergency surgery, saving countless lives.

It was an honour to work with Lort Smith to photograph Lexie. Her family have photographic memories to cherish forever, but most importantly because of the generosity of kind donations made to the Lort Smith they'll get to spend many more days together.

If you can make a donation, however small, I know you will be making a difference. You can read more about Lexie and other pets like her, as well as find the link to donate, below.

It's the final day of the Wentworth Show today; the weather looks to be stunning again.
I've had the pleasure of meeting so many lovely people as well as connecting with others I haven't seen in an age. That's one of the things that makes this show so special, the people.
Of course if you know me you know that it's not just about the people, it's the animals that have my heart :)

Along with photographing people, I've been photographing the dog trials and equine Wentworth Show Society - Equestrian Events. Photos from Friday are in the link below, if you'd like to take a look. Digital photos are able to be purchased within the link. If you'd like high quality archival prints, let me know via message.
Good luck to everyone competing today.

It's always tough asking for financial help, especially when everyone is feeling the pinch. If you've got a few dollars to spare to help Alfie's care, I'm sure he'll be grateful.

I'm thrilled to have been invited back to photograph the working dogs at the Wentworth Show ! Best of all I'll also be photographing the Wentworth Show Society - Equestrian Events events too. I met some really lovely people and dogs last year and look forward to meeting more.
To celebrate I'm giving away five session vouchers each day. To win one all you have to do is come say hi. On Friday I'll be at the horse arenas, on Saturday and Sunday I'll be moving between there and the dog trial yards. First five people to say hi each day wins.
Hope to see you there :)
