There’s no perfect age, no perfect season, no point where life suddenly looks exactly how you thought it would.

Just get the photo.
Because one day, one of these photos will mean more than you ever realised it would.
It’ll be the one you keep coming back to.
The one you’d grab if you had to leave everything else behind.
The one that takes you straight back to a version of them and you that doesn’t exist anymore.

Take it from a mama whose babies are no longer. That thing you do that only you know and remember- we are getting that and this is exactly what we did here.

You don’t have to get photos at the right time.
Just make sure you get them 🤍

You don’t have to love your pregnant body to want to remember it 🤎

You can feel uncomfortable in your body
and still want photos of it. You can avoid the mirror some days and still know you’ll miss your bump.

I think you will be glad you let yourself remember her this

Sometimes I worry you think I’m not doing enough…
Because sometimes I can be quiet.

I’m not jumping in every two minutes constantly moving everyone around or stopping something that’s already happening just to change it.

And this session was the PERFECT example.

They just went with it.
Loved on their beautiful boy and on each other.
Walked, played, cuddled and laughed!

And I watched

Of course I stepped in when they needed me. Mama’s photos on her own needed a little more help because standing in front of a camera alone is bloody weird 😅

But the rest? I didn’t need to keep interrupting them.
Because I don’t want you leaving your photos thinking about me telling you what to do every two minutes.

Or giving that little voice in your head wondering if you doing it right because of a pose I told you to do.

I want you to remember this!
What it actually felt like being together at this point in your lives

So sometimes I might go quiet but it’s intentional.
I’m just not interrupting the good stuff to prove it

You don’t really get to see yourself being their mum.
You’re just in it, picking them up, holding their hand, wiping their face.
Knowing when they need you without them saying a word.

To you, it’s just another day.
And then someone shows you a photo of it.
And you get to see what they see.

Their person, their safe place, their home!

Maybe that’s why these photos hit differently 🤍

Maybe this is a little promise to myself to stop being such a homebody 😅

To say yes more! To stop feeling guilty for doing something in the middle of a Tuesday just because I can.
To remember that a productive day doesn’t always have to mean I got loads of stuff done.

Just something little for myself without feeling so damn guilty.

Maybe you need to hear this as much as I do.

Stop waiting for the house to be clean, the work to be finished, the kids to be older or life to be a little less freaking hectic!

Go do the thing and I will too 🤍
