Waggles Photography Capturing their waggly tales! I am a natural light pet photographer based in Brisbane, Queensland. Welcome to Waggles Photography!

My name is Sarah, I am passionate about animals and an avid photographer. My business Waggles Photography is inspired by the doggy model who really helped me develop my photography skills and motivated me to buy my first DSLR camera - Aggie (nickname Waggles). I find it sad when I look back at some of my earlier photos of my pets and realise I missed some key moments in their lives which I would h

ave loved to capture. I aim to capture those moments for you. Please have a browse through my page and my session info and feel free to contact me if you would like further information. Please note, I currently work full time outside of photography and am currently only available on weekends for photo shoots, however I can be contacted anytime.

I'm amazed I got these two to sit together without leads or handlers!

I would say it speaks to how much training we put into Banjo (Dusty has been a well behaved dog from the beginning) but truly I think he's just naturally smart and he knows what equals treats at the end.

The ever beautiful Dusty.

We think she's about 12 years old (we rescued her in 2015 and estimated her to be about 2 years old). Banjo helps her act like a puppy still and they often play chasing for ages, although she does tire more quickly now.

Been photographing wildlife for a little while now so a bit dusty (ha get it) on the ol' dog photography. Thought I'd have a play in the yard and give Dusty her time to shine. I was just lining the shot up when who happened to step into the frame for his close up? It's Banjo!

Dug up some photos of puppy Banjo (approx 3-4months old). What a little cutie.

His fur has completely changed now, becoming thicker, more wiry and less wispy. He's also lost quite a lot of the black through his eye patch and ear.

I know, I know, they aren't dogs! But I am still enjoying my photography and enjoyed finding this female Rufous Whistler and Kookaburra this morning. The Kookaburra even indulged my silhouette practicing skills with the sun behind him.

I hope everyone had a good Christmas.

Here are some recent photos of our crew. Dusty as always, a well practiced, mature model. Banjo is learning pretty quickly, although it is hard to train him out of running for cuddles the moment I'm on the ground photographing.

Unfortunately for us, we are coming up on the one year anniversary of the death of our beautiful Aggie.

I have purchased a candle to burn on the day.

If you are comfortable sharing, how have you commemorated your heart pet and best friend?

I tried some action shots with Banjo which turned out pretty cute but as I said, achieving it without a handler is very hard. While he is getting pretty good at his "sit, stay" command, the moment I crouch down with a camera, he's off!

Don't you love the fur? I think he belongs in a commercial for dog shampoo 🤣

Okay, time for the "big reveal". This is Banjo.

I've been holding off on introducing Banjo as the pain of losing Aggie has been all consuming and it didn't feel right to talk about him so soon after losing Aggie. Banjo came to our house a few months ago now and has been a bright ball of energy, as all Jack Russells are, in what was a very quiet house once Aggie passed.

His looks confuse a few people but he is indeed a Jack Russell, just an incredibly hairy, rough coated one. He has an awesome head tilt, which is captured here, however as will be shown in the next set of photos, photographing him without a second pair of hands and a lead is quite difficult, as one should expect with a puppy but I forgot 🤣

Rarely photographed for Waggles but a natural nonetheless - this is one of two cats in the Waggles household, Archie.

Archie saw some treats being distributed and decided to get amongst the chaos. The real reason for the chaos will be revealed in a few days....
