Two years, two boats, and a massive amount of grit finally paid off. 🌊
We headed to the shelf in some pretty "character-building" conditions, but it wasn't long before this Marlin steamrolled the spread and started dancing off into the distance. Definately abit under gunned on 15kg gear, but the Saltist combo didn’t flinch.
Huge thanks to and everyone who reached out with tackle advice and pointed me toward the fish—the support from this community is what got us here. Oh, and the Yellowfin was a pretty sweet bonus! 🎣

Terrible conditions for most styles of fishing today, but a quick trip to gave me the heads-up on a rock spot for some bream. 🎣
If you bump a Infeet Presso Rollin’ Crank DR around the structure, you’re bound to get a bite.

2026 was officially off to a flyer! 🚀 Landed a new PB Kingfish that absolutely hammered a livey the second it hit the water. Trying to stop this brute in only 10m of water on a 50lb leader is pure heart-in-mouth stuff. The BG drag earned its keep today! 🎣💪

Definitely under estimated the size of this fish in the first few moments. This moment alone was enough to keep that popping rod in my hand for the next 2 days.

First day off shore for the little girl. She handled it like a little trooper. Catching some livies, then a little mac tuna was certainly the highlight for her. Then followed by hours of dad trying to entice a marlin, not so much.
Nice confidence builder though, putting the boat around some fish and missing a hook up.
Looking forward to my next chance to get out there

Enjoying the offshore game alittle more as the Family Boat "S'Oak Em" is nearing completion. The little beast was at its limit when it ended up blowing 40kmph. Got abit wet, but managed to tangle with a few Dollies.

Always nice to fill the freezer with fresh fish and get the family out.
