For some, the journey to motherhood is filled with a little more waiting
A little more hoping
A little more praying
A little more ‘how’s and why’s and when’s’
A family that was dreamed about
Prayed about
Hoped for
And perhaps, at times, quietly wondered if it would ever happen
There are seasons of waiting that can feel so incredibly heavy
When everyone around you seems to be moving forward
While you’re still waiting for the thing your heart wants most
And then somehow…
the prayer you’ve whispered a thousand times
becomes the tiny person sleeping in your arms
The baby you once wished for
is suddenly here
There are tiny clothes in the drawers
A little cry coming from the next room
A warm baby resting against your chest
And you realise that every little detail you once prayed for
is now right in front of you
Maybe the journey wasn’t the one you imagined
Maybe there were tears along the way
Disappointment
Waiting
Questions without answers
Moments where hope felt really hard to hold onto
But now, here they are
The most beautiful reminder that sometimes the greatest chapters of our lives begin after the longest seasons of waiting 🌈
