It has been a while with the black dog. A recent family trip to Port Douglas has me thanking my beautiful children for all they do for me and inspiring me to do better and be better. Life is a work in progress and no-one can say they have it right but sometimes the stars align. So a huge Thankyou to the Harley family, the King family, the Lindley family, the Tuddin family and the Wright family who keep me grounded and are always there to catch me. We had a ball when we were away just being in each others company. I will post photos when I can but here are a couple to keep things going. I hope you like them. cheers

Mount Buffalo National Park. This spectacular 'island in the sky' is home to plants found nowhere else on Earth. Sheer cliffs, granite boulders, waterfalls, big views and twisted Snow Gum forests to walk through to work up an appetite. Check it out sometime you won't be disappointed

A quiet New Year with a great view to contemplate the year ahead is good for the soul. Craig's Hut in the high country of Victoria is one such place.

Happy New Year everybody.

Wishing you all love, peace and prosperity for 2022. To those who have supported me this year I look forward to you, inspiring me in my journey to keep you up to date with images that may in turn inspire you to get out into our beautiful country and know how blessed we are to live where we do. ahhh feel the serenity!

Lake Yeerung, Yeerung River and Cape Conran Coastal Park East Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. Long ago there was a great fight between the men and women of the Gunaikurnai. The men had killed a Djeetgun, a small bird that was sister to the women. In revenge, the women killed a Yeerung, another small bird, that was brother to the men. This caused a great fight among the women and men. After the quarrel they began courting one another, they then agreed to marry, so uniting Yeerung and Djeetgun. Ever since then, the Gunaikurnai men have had to fight for their wives.

All Gunaikurnai men are of one order, the Yeerung the Superb Warbler or Superb Wren. All Gunaikurnai women are Djeetgun, the Southern Emu Wren.

It is always special to visit these places, be still and be one with nature and respect places for their natural beauty. I hope you enjoy these photos cheers xx

Sometimes you get lucky! out photographing my favourite dead tree around sunset, when it started to rain, just out of the blue. needless to say when I looked up and saw the st******nt approaching I was happy to have my camera in hand. Unfortunately didn't get to too many shots as it pelted down. thunder and lightning, all things apocalyptic. Ran to the car laughing as I was so wet and then realised my lens cap was on the post of the gate. arrrgh! at least I got the lightning strike! hope you like 🌹❤

MALLACOOTA, EAST GIPPSLAND, VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA
A small town approximately 40km from the Princes Highway in the far eastern corner of Victoria, surrounded by the Croajingolong National Park and just 13km from Gabo Island. With a population just over 1,000 people (which swell to around 8,000 at xmas and easter), it has beautiful pristine beaches and was heavily impacted by the recent bushfires. The landscape is starting to come back to life with the help of the wonderful people who remain there year long. It was amazing to watch the surfers in the area especially the dolphins who played in the shallows much to my delight, I only wish I had been closer to get better shots. I hope you enjoy the area through these photos as much as I enjoyed being there with great friends xx

TRARALGON, GIPPSLAND VICTORIA AUSTRALIA
The floods in recent weeks were devastating to many and there is still a lot of communities feeling the after effects. Traralgon, Victoria was one of the places impacted, Although the waters have receded the memories of it remain. My girlfriend Karen and I made the trip down there a few days later and out of respect did not take any photos of peoples misery. I wish to share these few photos of the area. The spiders just out of Sale (near Longford), that had made their webs on higher ground to get out of the flood water, were drifting in the wind making a great sight for all to see. I hope you enjoy them xx
