Getting excited for October Eisteddfod.
Please remember all video orders for August close this Sunday!

🚨📣 Dance and drama competitors, get the highlighters ready 😝

As the dust settles on the first part of the Eisteddfod it’s time to turn our focus to the second part, which starts in 30 sleeps time 😳

Music Uploads is open and ready for you to upload your music and scripts. Dance music💃 🕺🏼 closes midnight 23rd Sep and drama scripts 🎭 closes midnight 17th Sep. If you haven’t uploaded anything we will assume you are withdrawing. Please don’t leave it until the last day.

Well… August was a little bit WILD 😂📸🎥✈️

Somehow, we managed to squeeze all of this into ONE month…

✨ Two (2) Formal Sessions

🎭 A HUGE August Eisteddfod across multiple locations, covering:
☘️ Highland & Irish
🎤 Choral & Vocal
🎺 Instrumental
🎹 Pianoforte

📣 And just for good measure… Cheerleading around the country!
✈️ Sydney
✈️ Perth
✈️ Gold Coast

💻 Plus remote editing from wherever we happened to be at the time…

AND amongst all of that, somehow fitting in all of our kids’ performances, rehearsals and the 47 other things they apparently signed themselves (us) up for + a Poppy😂🤦‍♂️

There were a LOT of photos, a LOT of video, plenty of flights, multiple venues too much caffeine and definitely not enough sleep!

But the biggest shoutout has to go to our AMAZING TEAM ❤️

From travelling around the country, bouncing between venues, taking the lead and running events, to editing remotely and keeping everything moving behind the scenes you guys absolutely smashed it!

We genuinely couldn't do this without you.

August = DONE! ✅

September will be quieter, right?...

Mackay Eisteddfod Association Inc. for August is finished!

Over the next few days, we’ll be finalising all video orders and uploading the remaining photos.

Thank you to all the competitors for being part of this year’s Eisteddfod, and to our staff who have put in so many hours recording and photographing performances and capturing memories of the event.
