Embracing a bit more joy in the midst of the hustle not only recharges you but also transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary. Here’s to weaving a tapestry of memories in the final stretch of the year!

Annecy; a canvas painted with the hues of romance and history.

Wandering along the canals, each step feels like a dance through time. The heart of this enchanting town beats at the Confluence Point in Le Thiou, right in front of the iconic Le Palais de l’Ile. Here, the waters unite in a delicate ballet, framed by the medieval charm of the Palais. It’s a scene that transcends the ordinary, where the past meets the present in a shimmering reflection.

Le Thiou whispers tales of centuries past, and the Palais stands as a silent witness to the stories etched in its stones.

Annecy, a symphony of nature and architecture, capturing moments that linger in the soul.

The quaint, desirable little town of Brugge.

Outside major cities and reminiscent of movies that I’d seen growing up, showcasing the country-styled towns throughout Europe (and the UK - well done Brexit 😂) and the characteristic traits that everyone has grown to love about them.

Cobbled streets, geometry of housing that was well thought out for aesthetics and functionality, and a broad history that we don’t see in urbanised areas of Australia after white settlement simply due to the young age of the built environment there.

There’s definitely a need to come back here and go through much more of the back story behind this little gem.

I’m only missing the pastries from France a little more than I thought I would be 😂

It’s hard to believe the disparity between quality over there versus over here in Aus… But it’s there, for sure!!

It’s always interesting to see what people value in different cultures; Australians being coffee/cafe culture as the forefront.

Looking forward to the next big trip to discover a little more about places I’ve never been.

It’s always humbling to really discover just how uncultured you are as a human being when you set foot on foreign soil, just to realise that you’d had it wrong this whole time.

That’s a feeling I don’t think I’ll ever forget, and one that I want stop craving.

But I guess we’ll see how this goes with yet another interest rate change in Australia likely to change the market again in the short-term. We’ll see which way the public responds, I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️

Lyon in black and white.

Wanted to try something different. This one has potential for a framing too…

I’m a bit of a fan of the gradual diminishing of light and the exposure of the sky was taken down a bunch to create this effect, but overall - I’m a fan anyways 🤷🏻‍♂️

There’s some things that are just captivating…

I might have been a bit of a fan of the aesthetic of this apartment, and I want this chair pretty bad.

It’s a little bit over saturated from the true colour of the thing, but it wasn’t far off this to be honest…

Street art in Lyon is pretty dope.

Good to see the Mona Lisa getting into technology too 🤳🏽

Would definitely recommend going to see all the street art around this place, because it’s next level.

Unsure who these artists are, but I’ll do my reading and update where I find something… Or comment below if you know the artists 🤙🏻

“If graffiti changed anything - it would be illegal”
- Banksy.

Fine words from the man himself.

Wandering around Amsterdam, and hopelessly disorganised we can across and weren’t disappointed when we found, not just artworks, but many others that I recognised in both physical and digital spaces.

More to come on this soon, but I thought I’d start with the first gallery as you walk into the building.

Taken during September, so the galleries may have changed around a little bit since.

For an Australian going to Europe, it was a reality check for the coffee life.

Happy to be back in Aus for the coffee side of life, because somehow making coffee taste good isn’t a focus at all over there.

We do try to make it a bit prettier over here too though…

Maybe we’ve just got a bit more of an issue with vanity..? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Also, the Louvre at its busiest 🤷🏻‍♂️

Always have to remember that some of the best details around can be found when you just look up…

🌌✨ Dark Spectrum Light Show: A Visual Marvel at Vivid 2023! ✨🌌

Feast your eyes on the breathtaking tapestry of vibrant hues and enchanting patterns that graced the night sky at Vivid 2023's Dark Spectrum Light Show! 🌈✨ From the moment I stepped into this mesmerizing realm, I was completely spellbound by the incredible display of lights that unfolded before me.

The show's segments were nothing short of extraordinary, each one carrying its own unique flair and captivating my senses in ways I couldn't have imagined. 💫 The interplay of darkness and light created an otherworldly experience, weaving a narrative of mystique and wonder that had me on the edge of my seat.

One particular segment transported me to a realm where constellations danced across the heavens, twinkling in sync with the rhythm of celestial music. ✨✨ The intricate choreography of lights left me in awe, as if I were witnessing the secrets of the universe unfold right before my eyes.

In another segment, I found myself immersed in a kaleidoscope of colors and geometric shapes, moving in perfect harmony. 🌀🔮 It was as if I had been transported into an abstract dimension where dreams and reality blended seamlessly. The symphony of hues left me breathless, my imagination running wild with the endless possibilities.

But perhaps the most intriguing segment of all was the one that delved into the depths of the ocean. 💦🐠 The waves of blue and green lights painted an underwater wonderland, bringing to life the hidden treasures and mystical creatures that dwell beneath the surface. I could almost hear the whispers of the sea as the lights illuminated its secrets.

The Dark Spectrum Light Show at Vivid 2023 was an immersive journey through the realms of light and darkness, a feast for the eyes and a symphony for the soul. 🎶💖 Each segment pushed the boundaries of visual artistry, leaving me in awe of the boundless creativity that humans possess.

If you had the chance to witness this visually captivating extravaganza, I’m certain you’ll be thinking the exact same as me!!
