FATHER’S DAY = CARS, CARS & MORE CARS!

Sunday was Father’s Day, which apparently also means every car enthusiast in Victoria suddenly has somewhere to be!

This year I kept it local and headed to one of my favourites All Mods Car Meet - Drouin.

The morning started a little soggy thanks to the rain but once the skies cleared the cars started rolling in and the car park quickly came alive.

With so many meets and shows happening across the weekend, I honestly wasn’t expecting such a strong turnout. But the Drouin crew definitely delivered plenty of cars, plenty of variety and some seriously clean builds.

More importantly, it was awesome seeing families out enjoying the morning together, catching up, having a laugh and sharing the automotive obsession. That’s what these events are all about.

Now this one came completely out of left field…

2004 Honda Odyssey Wagon.

Yep… the family wagon.

But this wasn’t your average school-run Odyssey. The stance was absolutely on point and this thing had enough attitude to make you stop, look twice and question everything you thought you knew about people movers.

Proof that with the right vision, even the family wagon can become the coolest kid at the car meet.

WOW… JUST WOW! 🤯

Mr Excited & Friends. Classic Cars WorldWide 🌏 coffee and cars at The Manhattan on Sunday was absolutely HUGE!

Rumour has it 1,400+ cars rolled through. Filling the front and rear car parks plus the surrounding courts and when I say filling… I mean FILLING!

If you weren’t there early you were probably watching the gates close from the wrong side!
The turnout was so massive that the venue was bursting at the seams.

Massive credit to Mr Excited and his crew. They did an incredible job keeping the cars moving, directing traffic and somehow keeping everything under control.
With that many cars turning up I’m sure the stress levels were somewhere around “I need another coffee and possibly a lie down.”

The morning itself was pretty overcast but thankfully there was some warmth in the air making it a perfect day to wander around catch up with people and check out the insane variety of cars.

✖️ CAR OF THE MORNING

Was a heavily customised vintage GMC pickup. It absolutely stole my attention.

Slammed on its guts with a weathered blue patina finish that gave it some serious attitude.
Then you look through the window and BAM a stunning red leather interior and accents that contrasted perfectly with the exterior.

Old school style. Custom touches. Sitting ridiculously low.
Yep… I’m sold.

Low life is 100% the best life!
