“I like to see musicians use photographs that are of commercial quality when they promote themselves. I think about focus, clarity, body language, the environment I am shooting in, lighting, clothing, facial expression. It all needs to tell a story in order to communicate who the musician is to their potential audience. I need to know the musician, their style and who they are as an artist before I approach a job for promotional photographs."
