I always appreciate the chance and privilege to provide my photography services to repeat customers. These opportunities can sometimes even introduce new characters. This can be anything from a new child, extended family, or perhaps even a close friend. I'm especially grateful when these friends and family members become future customers themselves. I've even received emails from the friend, of a friend, of a friend, etc, looking to employ my photography services. To think about that connected chain of events and how it all stems back to one of my very first customers... It's pretty incredible.
My appreciation for those that share and recommend my work to others is immense. In fact, the majority of my work throughout the last year or so has all been via referrals.
To everybody who has helped me grow, both professionally, as well as on a personal level, I can't thank you enough ☺️🙇‍♂️

Not even an injured foot could keep this Grandfather from attending this group family portrait session💪

Whether before or after booking your photography session, life can sometimes present certain challenges. Be it personal limitations, changes in the weather, or any range of other unexpected surprises, I will always do my best to work with the client to make the experience as comfortable and convenient as possible. Some customers are keen to be more environmentally adventurous, whilst others may require paved paths and somewhere not too far from the nearest parking spot. Let's also not forget that, Melbourne being Melbourne, the odds of the weather forecast being accurate are no more guaranteed than your numbers coming up in the lottery. Your schedule can sometimes change, and so can ours. No matter what, where, when or how, we will always find a way to make things work.

Bubbles! 🫧🫧🫧⭐️🪄🌈
As a photographer who gets to work with families of all ages, one of the best tricks I've learned is to keep bubbles on hand when younger family members are in the mix. Not only do they encourage natural smiles and some very playful scenes, but it also gives the parents some handy leverage for when we need to capture some of the more "controlled" shots.

The Alfred Nicholas Memorial Garden isn't just a beautiful place to visit, but it also proved to be the perfect location for this loving engagement session 💜🌷💍
Every couple has their own unique story, and this spot played a very special part in that. Not only was I more than happy to cater to this request, but I can't think of a better place to have captured this once-in-a-lifetime moment for this amazing couple.

The only thing better than being asked to photograph an engagement, is to have the privilege of being asked back to photograph the wedding, so stay tuned for that in the next few months! 👰‍♀️🤵💍📸

This is just a precautionary message for now, but somebody was trying to login/h@ck into my Facebook account earlier today. I've conducted all of the typical actions, such as changing passwords and tightening up privacy settings, so for now at least, fingers crossed, I hope that I'm okay.

A couple of years ago however, I actually was successfully h@cked into and permanently lost access to my original Art Of Chris McKee business page. This was a HUGE inconvenience, as it undid a lot of the work that I'd put in up to that point, including a disruption to my customers, as well as the good will that I'd built up with them. I no doubt lost work also, as the page continued to stay up for months after the fact, with no ability to access it myself, including any messages from potential customers. It was a nightmare of a fight trying to get any kind of response from Meta (Facebook), but I was eventually finally able to get the page removed after A LOT of effort.
It's now been a few years after that debacle and I've since worked hard to rebuild this current page, including content and a following. In a perfect world, I wouldn't have to rely on Facebook as a platform for my business at all, but it is unfortunately such an integral online community for so many people, so I can't ignore it altogether. This being the case, I will persist with it the best that I can until it is finally superseded one day by something better and more reliable.

The point of this post is to inform that if such an event ever does unfortunately re-occur and I once again lose contact with my customers, please know that my preferred means of contact will always be via my website and email address.

If I ever take more than 48 hours to respond to any kind of business communication, it is very likely that I have been h@cked and have lost the ability to communicate via Facebook. If ever in doubt, please refer to the website and email details above, as I will never just ignore any business communication.

This amazing couple really did bring the truest example of a fairy tale wedding to life. Not just young love, but FIRST love! All the way from school and into marriage. May this beautiful couple enjoy a lifetime of love and happiness.

I've been a bit behind with updates in recent months, so I'll begin by sharing this beautiful family and their upcoming baby.
It's already a privilege to be the choice of photographer to capture anybody's important memories, but it's even more special when you've been sharing the journey along with them over multiple years. Including an engagement, wedding, family portraits, birthdays, and now the celebration of the soon-to-be newest member of their growing family. It truly is a pleasure and an honor.
