The most candid, romantic photos always come from the same place. It’s not posing or performing for the camera - it’s simply two people being fully present with each other.

When you’re locked into your own bubble, living the day as it happens instead of thinking about the camera, that’s when it all comes easy.

We’re not staging moments or forcing feelings. I’m simply standing there with my camera, watching it all unfold.

Elisa and Terrance first met at a bus stop in Greensborough back in 2011, since their schools were close by. They were introduced through their good friends, who stood beside them on the day as bridesmaid and best man. Group hangouts turned into movie nights, until Terrance eventually worked up the nerve to ask Elisa on a date. Over a decade later, standing in front of everyone they love, they made things official and got married.

Hubert Estate is hands down one my favourite venues, and it gave these two the perfect backdrop for a day that felt joyous from start to finish. The way Elisa and Terrance look at each other says everything about the kind of love they’ve built, and their people matched that energy the whole way through. You didn’t need to know this crowd for more than five minutes to feel how loved these two are.

When I asked what they wanted to remember most about this season of their lives, they said they just want to feel happy, mesmerised and proud looking back. From everything I saw on the day, I have a feeling they will. 🤍

There’s something about a first look that feels different to every other moment of the day. Just the two of you, seeing each other for the very first time.

Sloan and Lochie’s story started in a karaoke bar in Florence. She was studying abroad, and Lochie was passing through on a Contiki tour. He sat across from her, they connected instantly, and even after he moved on to the next city, they kept messaging until somehow, they became each other’s best friend.

Lochie had the proposal fully planned out, and while some things didn’t go to plan, like the “oceanfront” balcony view he thought they’d booked for their South Beach Miami getaway, none of it really mattered once he went down on one knee that night and asked Sloan to marry him.

They got married with an intimate guest list, just the people who know them best.

It was such an honour to witness and photograph their wedding, surrounded by the people they love most, all in one place to celebrate them. 🤍

These are the kinds of texts that make late nights of editing, long days of shooting, and hours at my desk so worth it.

Gallery delivery day is always a little nerve-wracking, no matter how many I’ve done, but this is why I keep showing up the way I do.

Hearing that a couple loves their photos, that the gallery makes them want to relive their day and every moment in it over and over - that’s the whole point.

Having a collection of images that brings you right back to how it all felt, no matter how much time has passed.

Getting ready is one of my favourite parts of a wedding day to photograph.

Being intentional with who you choose to be around when you get ready for your wedding makes a real difference. Veronica’s bridesmaids kept the vibe so easy and fun, singing and dancing at one point, and just enjoying the morning together.

They knew when to calm things down and when to bring the energy up, and there was a level of comfort that helped set her up well for the day she’d been looking forward to the most. 🤍

Veronica and Jack skipped the usual detour of a post-ceremony photo session and walked straight into their champagne tower - married and right into the celebration.

It made for the perfect bookend, one final moment together before their guests swarmed in for hugs and glasses of their own. Such an fun and easy transition from ceremony into cocktail hour, and it meant their reception felt like it had already started the second they said I do. 🥂

Veronica and Jack haven’t missed a date night since 2013, when they first met over burgers at Brodburger in Canberra. Jack decided that night he’d find every excuse to see her again.

Years later he proposed at a cliffside chateau in the South of France. He’d been planning it for months, sneaking off to ring shop and plan proposal spots while Veronica napped, and avoiding every hint about a timeline. When he popped the question, she said yes, they kissed, and sat down to a 14-course meal at a Michelin-starred restaurant.

They got married at Hubert Estate, one of our favourite venues in the Yarra Valley. Elegant, modern and chic was the vibe these two were after, and the venue’s design matched it perfectly. Add in the incredible staff, food and wine their guests enjoyed all night, and it made for the perfect setting to celebrate the best day of their lives. 🤍
