A little about me:
I have always been inextricably drawn to capturing and creating art. Growing up on a farm in regional Western Australia gave me a lifelong love of nature and a knack for seeking out its most beautiful (hidden) secrets, which is something I utilise often when shooting. My first passion was dance, a

nd in 2011 I moved to Melbourne to train full-time at the National Theatre Ballet School. My years of training as a dancer have given me a deep understanding of the human form, a keen eye for lines and the ability to capture the most elegant shapes in every image - something that gives my photography its own unique style. This combined with my avid love of painting is what has shaped my photography today, as I believe a perfect image is the combination of a beautifully composed shot, and the masterful enhancement of colours, tone and lighting. Every photo should be a work of art that captures and suspends a moment in time. Aside from my freelance photography, I am the resident photographer for Australian dancewear brand Energetiks, and frequently travel interstate to photograph dancers, performances and fashion campaigns. I have been working as a photographer now since 2016, allowing me to bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in outdoor, studio and performance photography to every shoot. My promise to you is to create truly unique, beautiful imagery that will last a lifetime.

Making the most of the overcast weather we’re getting with this glowing mumma-to-be 🍃 How gorgeous does she look in the Kya Gown! A true favourite from the client wardrobe (no small feat when there’s now 30 stunningg gowns to choose from!). Throwback to this cloudy cuddle-filled afternoon with this gorgeous little fam in those last few weeks of winter 🥰 I am very much a summer person, but gosh isn’t there something spectacular about soft winter light! A gentle reminder not to wait for the ‘perfect’ season to capture your story (Melbourne doesn’t abide by the weather rules anyway 😂), and I keep a close eye on our forecast for the day to make sure you’ll have beautiful lighting and weather that allows you to be comfy and relaxed. Here’s to the heart-melting, cheek-aching, nose-scrunching, giggle inducing kinda love that happens when we play with our little humans. Dads may not *always* be the most enthusiastic session participants to begin with (I’ve had a few sessions where it was possibly the Dad needing the bribe to participate, not the kids! 😂), but once they realise that a photo session doesn’t mean staring awkwardly at a camera for an hour and actually means just being a big goofball (if that’s your thing) and enjoying some genuine FUN, family time, something magical happens ✨ What Dad doesn’t deserve photos like this with their little ones 💛 they might not be this little for long, but it is possible to preserve this moment forever. So just a little PSA to all the dads out there that during our photo session I solemnly swear I will be the only person in ‘photoshoot’ mode, your job will be simply to enjoy your family; the laughs; the hugs; the love, and let me be there to capture the beautiful moments as they happen. If you know an amazing Dad who deserves a lasting treasure like this to cherish, Father’s Day is just around the corner! 👀💌

Sneaking back onto your feed like I never missed a beat 🫡 🙊
My socials may have been very quiet, but it’s only because life got twice as busy! Amidst capturing all of your beautiful love stories and life moments, my own little bundle of joy arrived (very much ahead of schedule!) earlier this year. 💛 Having baby number two made me realise just how lightning fast everything went by the first time around, suddenly I stood still for a moment and I have a sassy, cheeky, chatty three year old on my hands - how??! My arms remember cradling her tiny head and tickling her little toes like it was only moments ago, but now I have a mini human who sleeps in her own room (…well at least half of the night 😅), won’t allow anything but the Frozen soundtrack to be played in the car at all times, and educates me about different kinds of dinosaurs on a daily basis. 😳 I wasn’t ready for that. Tomorrow always comes faster than expected, but I’m learning that that’s twice as true when it comes to our babies. So this time I’m stretching out these hazy, milky, sleep deprived moments for as long as possible. It feels like sometimes we don’t notice how perfect life is in the moment, only once we’re looking back at it.

Just another reason why I am absolutely in love with getting to capture the extraordinary that happens everywhere, all the time, quietly going unnoticed.��So while I definitely won’t be promising daily posts (weekly would be impressive for me! 😂). I will be starting to share the endless beautiful sessions I’ve got to document between now and my last post, and I am excited to be once again easing back into capturing you all in the moments you choose to celebrate, both big and beautifully small. My inbox is open and I’m excited to spend time with some new and familiar faces soon. E X
