Echidnas have to one of my favourite Aussie animals, they're always busy and rarely too worried about being watched!
This little one was a particularly busy individual and we hung out for a quite a long time, watching them probe and dig for ants and termites.

I feel like we take our incredible parrots for granted a bit here in Australia. We've got an amazing variety of colours and sizes all throughout our gorgeous country.
These, the red-tailed black cockatoos, are probably my most favourite.

In the woodlands of Dryandra lives an incredible little creature.

The Numbat!

This amazing little critter is an insect lover, eating around 20,000 termites a day! They're unfortunately endangered, but we were very lucky to have 3 sightings during our time in Dryandra, this one being our first.

Over the Easter period we went for a little adventure in south west Western Australia.
A big part of that trip was doing some whale watching trips out of Bremer Bay, specifically looking for the local Orcas. And boy, were we successful!!
We spent 3 days out on the water and saw Orca on all 3 days. We were especially lucky to see the latest addition to the pod, who arrived only a few days before we did.

It's been a hot minute since I've posted anything. The day job has been busy and my photography motivation hasn't been all that high.

That said in the last couple of weeks I've spent a bit of time behind the lens, attending the Avalon Airshow and having a little break down at Jan Juc.

I got some half decent photos at the airshow that I'll share in the not too distant future, but I really wanted to share this cute photo of a pair of Gang Gang Cockatoos.
