Growing up my grandpa was the strictest person we know. He’s aura was so strong he often didn’t even need to say a thing, with just one look, you’d know how he was feeling. He is the reason I am in Australia. And more recently, he is the reason I bought my

I want to start a whole series on people’s grandparents. I want to preserve what little time they have left. I want them to be remembered for the way they are so that future generations will one day see a glimpse of who they were.

So, if you’re lucky enough to have a grandparent or parent over the age of 75, please let me know. I would be honored to take their portrait.

The forgotten generation.

Our grandparents/parents. As our lives gets busier and busier, family that doesn’t live with us often gets forgotten and only thought about during special occasions.

I choose differently. I choose to remember their sacrifices, their dedications, their years of support! I chose to not let them disappear quietly. This series is dedicated to them.

Life.

What does it actually mean? This past 3 weeks have been an emotional journey to say the least. On one hand, thinking of the end of life. Seeing it in person, visiting a grave, watching grandma in palliative care.

On another, taking photos of the start of a life; maternity, newborns or just kids running around the house. Moments seemingly normal, unimportant, mundane even but fleeing faster that you could ever imagine.

“Creating tomorrow’s memories, today. For future generations.”

It’s something we really have to sit down and think about to actually get what it actually means. Enjoying the life we have now, so that we can talk/show the future generation the life we actually lived.

The year is 2023. The advancement of smart phones means we have resorted to capturing anything and everything on our little mobile devices. Often sharing our experiences with the world. A POV vibe peaking into a few seconds of our lives. What’s missing?

Well, YOU. (The one behind the camera)

This has become most evident through the strict lockdowns we had in . As a photographer my focus during this time shifted. I captured heaps of moments with my various cameras when family and loved ones could gather. No matter what we were doing, it felt like home. So I always made sure I get a few cheeky snaps in. It felt good. Especially when the whole world stopped and isolate itself.

Now that we’re on the other side, i’m looking back at these “moments” and it feels like I’m missing something. Well, me. I’m not in any of the photos. I don’t usually want to be, but for the sake of my loved ones, I feel like I owe it to them to have a few photos of myself with them.

We often take things for granted until it’s too late.

So this year, I’m consciously making it a priority to help capture precious moments for people around me. Cue the birth of .

So please, allow me to come along a journey with you and your loved ones, be a fly on the wall. Capturing simple moments or big achievements! But mostly importantly, allow me to see your kids grow up, capture your parents grow old. It is all a beautiful story. One that is truly unique to you and your family.
