A very good day in the Yarra Valley.

Photographed a fabulous 90th at RACV Club in Healesville, then stopped by The Yarra Valley Pie Stop and met Craig — and devoured the famous cherry pie. Did I get a photo? Absolutely not. 😂

Then over to coldstream dairy to meet Anna and pick up some very good cheese and goodies to take home for dinner.

Sunshine, pie and cheese. Can’t complain.

Always an adventure at our house. We’re deep in our dress-up and dramatic play era, so there’s never a dull moment.

I invited Lisa ❁ and her twinnies over for a cuppa, play and some twin Mumma + photography chats.

Didn’t even get to make the cuppa before my little one slipped off her chair and split her head. My brain promptly left my body at the sight of all the blood. Lucky Lisa still had hers.

She’s totally fine and all fixed up, thankfully.

Anyone else’s brain completely leave the building when their kid gets hurt? 😭

Note to self: work on the panic brain.

Tomorrow I get to photograph a small local wedding and I’m so stoked to be part of it.

In my early years, I photographed a lot of big, beautiful weddings, and it really is such an honour to be asked to capture someone’s love story.

The year I got married, 2011, I photographed 45 weddings. Forty-five! It was a wonderful and wild time. The thought of doing that now exhausts me just thinking about it. Oh, to be in my twenties with all that energy. 🤪

These days, with my own little ones, my pace has changed. I’m focusing more on mini, micro and local weddings, along with families and small businesses — and honestly, I’m loving the change.

Different season, different pace, still getting to do something I absolutely love.

Can’t wait for tomorrow. 🤍
