Incredible colours in tonight’s sunset, the sky was ablaze in a sea of yellow, orange and reds!

Shot from Mt Evelyn with the 70mm lens on the DJI Air 3S. The Melbourne CBD is over 35km as the crow flies from Mt Ev, pretty stoked to catch the sun setting behind the city skyline!!

Also huge props to my wife who spotted tonight’s sunset just in time for me to get the drone up just as the sun was hitting the horizon! 🙏

Lookout at The Horn, Mt Buffalo/Tubbalunganer

Normally this spot at the end of the road at the lookout at The Horn has the most epic views out across the Victorian Alps.

However on this occasion a few weeks back the view was nothing more than a giant smoky haze due to the recent bushfires. Kind of eerie but beautiful at the same time.

Personal Project

I spent a few hours in the city recently to photograph some interesting looking buildings in the late afternoon sunshine. This is part one.

This stunning twin tower building with the golden sky bridge is Sapphire By The Gardens Melbourne. Shining bright and standing tall, it was designed by Cox Architecture
and Fender Katsalidis Australia

I love how the blue skies reflect in the windows and contrast with the golden sky bridge as it stands tall above the calming greenery of Carlton Gardens
