Well, the final results are in… Google’s ‘Through the Dark’ has landed a whopper haul at Cannes - 7 Lions, including 2 Golds! An incredible feat, and a huge testament to the amazing work from all involved.
We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: we’re incredibly proud! Thank you to the talented bunch that made it all happen: Hilltop Hoods, Google Play Music, R/GA Sydney, Mike Daly, Eran Hilleli, Michael Armstrong, Blake Kus, and Kim Wildenburg.

With a bevy of awards already under it’s belt, we couldn’t be prouder to announce that ‘Through the Dark’ has just bagged two Bronzes for Cyber and Mobile at the prestigious Cannes Festival, and is shortlisted for even more!
We’re eagerly awaiting the results, and wish a huge congrats to Eran Hilleli, Mike Daly, and R/GA Sydney for their work on this stunning piece.

The Google and Hilltop Hoods collaboration ‘Through The Dark’ has just landed a huge haul! In addition to two FWA’s, a Webby, and a Yellow Pencil from D&AD, the project also nabbed two Golds, six Silvers, and five Bronze awards at last Friday’s AWARD ceremony!

Huge congratulations to R/GA Sydney, director Mike Daly, and XYZ’s Eran Hilleli for their outstanding work – we couldn’t be prouder to put our name behind this beautiful piece.

Massive congratulations are in order to Eran Hilleli, Mike Daly, and R/GA Sydney! As a result of their stunning work for Hilltop Hoods and Google Play Music, “Through The Dark” has now been named the winner of FWA’s ‘Website of the Year’, and ‘People’s Choice Award’.

Inspired by true events, the interactive experience follows the struggle of a boy and his father as together they face the battle of childhood leukemia, and encapsulates the challenges of those facing recovery.

A huge congratulations to Eran Hilleli on his captivating design work for “Through The Dark”, an interactive experience created for Hilltop Hoods and Google Play Music, in collaboration with director Mike Daly and R/GA Sydney.
Inspired by true events, the piece follows a boy and his father as together they battle childhood leukemia. It beautifully captures the contrasting light and dark worlds of hope and despair, and the moving strength of those facing recovery.

A huge pat on the back to XYZ’s Stephen Watkins for taking out second place in the short film competition. The campaign aims to raise awareness about the overuse of antibiotics and the subsequent threat of resistance to medications. A great cause and a fantastic animated piece to support it.
