💛 R U OK? DAY 💛
Today is R U OK? day but R U OK isn't and shouldn't be limited to just one day.
As a mental health clinician (running beside my own photography business), I know the importance of our mental health. If that's not right, then nothing is.
We never really know what someone else is going through.
The person smiling and laughing might be struggling.
The person who is always checking on everyone else might need someone to check on them.
And sometimes the strongest people are the ones carrying the heaviest load quietly.
And no one is immune. No matter your gender, job, age (yes, kids are affected too), money status and community standing, everyone at some point has struggles.
So...
Send that message.
Make that phone call.
Have that cuppa. ☕
Ask “Are you OK?” — and really take the time to listen to the answer.
You don’t have to fix anything or have the perfect words. Sometimes just knowing someone genuinely cares can mean more than you realise.
And if you’re the one having a hard time at the moment, please remember you don’t always have to be the strong one. It’s OK to reach out too.
R U OK?
Let’s look after each other not only today, but every day. 💛
