ArchiF[r]AME

ArchiF[r]AME ArchiF[r]AME ArchiF[r]AME engages architects to tell stories about their own architecture. Every architect composes her/his own frame.

A series of interviews provides insight into the architects thinking, influences, and methods that inform their work. We would like to go beyond the existing mediated appearance of an architect and give space to hidden stories, lucky accidents, mistakes and unknown treasures. To complete this approach we encourage every participating architect to choreograph a series of photographs of themselves w

ith their chosen project. The result will be an “ArchiF[r]AME”. All ArchiF[r]AME’s will be published in the online journal, ArchiF[r]AME.org and will lead to the publication of a book as well as an exhibition. The intention of this venture is to focus on the stories behind architecture. It is not only a new display of architectural works but it allows for a deeper reading of the architects' psyche and its role in defining contemporary architecture. ArchiF[r]AME contacts selected architects that are actively involved in architectural discourse. It features emerging as well as established architects. ArchiF[r]AME bridges the gap between architectural periods and promotes the dialogue between generations to a wider audience.
