POV: You woke up before Melbourne did… and found the city floating above the clouds. ☁️🏙️

Most people only see Melbourne from the streets.

Very few get to witness it wrapped in a blanket of fog, where only the tallest skyscrapers rise above the clouds. It’s one of those rare winter mornings that reminds you why Melbourne is one of Australia’s most photogenic cities.

Captured from Southbank, this is a side of Melbourne that disappears within minutes.

Eight towering columns along Southbank erupt into the night, launching some of the world’s largest fireballs into Melbourne’s skyline — a truly unforgettable spectacle.

The Gas Brigade lights up the city every hour on the hour after dark, creating a powerful fusion of fire, architecture, and atmosphere.

⚠️ Shows are weather dependent and may not operate during Total Fire Ban days as declared by the Country Fire Authority.
