Steamrail Victoria operated two transfer trains and of five shuttles between Hurstbridge and Eltham for the annual Hurstbridge Wattle Festival.

These transfers and shuttles were hauled by former Victorian Railways Steam Locomotive, K190, along with Elecrail’s Tait 317M-208T-230D-341T-381M.

Steamrail Victoria in conjunction with the Victorian Goldfields Railway operated the Maldon Vintage Train from Maldon to Castlemaine, then to Melbourne to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Vintage Train.

The event also marked the return of locomotive K160 after being absent from the Victorian Goldfields Railway for twelve years and K183’s first run on the branch line.

The Level Crossing Removal Authority, in conjunction with Steamrail Victoria hosted the East Pakenham Shuttles to celebrate the completion of all level crossing removals on the East Pakenham Railway Line.

As part of the celebration A2 986, along with Tait: 381M-208T-230M-341T-317M, operated shuttles between East Pakenham and Berwick Railway Stations.

Ten years ago, the Level Crossing Removal Authority, in conjunction with Steamrail Victoria, hosted the Family Fun Day to celebrate the removal of the level crossings and completion of the Ormond, McKinnon, and Bentleigh railway stations.

As part of the celebration, free all-day shuttles operated between Caulfield and Moorabbin by locomotives, K190 and D3 639.

The event also marked the return of Elecrail’s preserved PTC Tait Set: 381M-208T-230D-317M after being absent from the mainline for twelve years.

Steamrail Victoria operated the WhY Not Suburban excursion across the suburban railway network with a photo stop outside Somerton Yard, then reboarding the train back to Southern Cross.

Hauled by former Victorian Railways Diesel Locomotive T356. The tour was originally planned to be hauled by Y112 but was swapped with the T class after the tender derailed in the yard.
