Really nice vibe on the coast yesterday afternoon. I manage to create this pleasing image at one of my favourite areas as the sun set. It's a bit of a walk in ... lots of these nice out of way places along the Victorian west coast if you know where to find them.

Picked up a mint condition Fujifilm X-T1 for peanuts, only had bit over 3k clicks on the shutter. Took it for a walk yesterday. The X-Trans II is the best of the bunch IMHO, only one worth bothering with. These are straight out of camera jpegs with very tiny bit of editing. X-Trans II cameras are the only ones I will happily use jpegs from rather than RAW.

The colour images were great, fantastic image quality but I decided to convert to B+W and crop to 4x5 format ... just because it felt right at the time.

In summary: a beautifully designed classic digital camera that about 7 years after release holds its own against the latest and greatest for pure image quality. Feels great in the hands and external controls are a joy to use .... hardly ever need to dive into the menu system.

Each on "a roll" posting will feature 5-10 of my faves from one roll of film. This was a local walk mostly to test a newly purchased camera. Late afternoon to capture some nice low angle sun images.
