Sorry I've been a bit quiet on the posting front in the last few months... Life gets in the way a bit sometimes, doesn't it?

Anyway!! Here's a fly at home on my Sarracenia plant. They are carnivorous, so the insects are attracted to the plant, and they go down to tube to die, and be plant food. Such is nature!

Very happy to be named the Grand Champion of the Casey Camera Club for 2021.
This means I was received the most awards in their monthly competitions throughout 2021.
We had our End of Year night last Thursday night when the announcements were made. Along with our Image of the Year Competition. I was also awarded 3 prizes, including the top prize for the Advanced Section, for the honeyeater and kangaroo paw. The other two were awarded a Highly Commended and Merit each.

A great way to end 2021, and looking forward to 2022! :-)

Very happy to get 6 acceptances into Pakenham Nationals with these photos, the Dusky Moorhen chick received a Merit. :-)

Taken with a long lens from a bird hide, so not to disturb them building a nest. :-)

A pair of nesting Galahs from last weekend out birding. A very cute and loving pair, getting a nest ready for their offspring in the coming months... :-)
