I grew up in the country, so heading into the city (or even a small town that felt like the city 😅) was always a rare little adventure.

One of my favourite childhood memories? Late-night Christmas shopping with my mum on the last Thursday before Christmas - every year without fail. Just the two of us.

Looking back now, it was never about the shopping. It was the quiet togetherness in the middle of the chaos The twinkly lights, the buzz in the air, warm hot chocolate on a cold night... it was magic. A quiet tradition tucked into a busy childhood.

Maybe that’s why I love these Mother’s Day sessions so much. Especially the ones in the city. There’s something about the streets, the soft light, the quiet hand holds, the chaos wrapped in love that feels so familiar, so nostalgic to me.
