When we were in Korea four years ago we visited Emily’s grandmother in the rural village of Gwangyang.

We found these old family photos hanging up outside, falling out of their frames, and asked if we could rescue them.

I always wanted to get them restored and on our most recent trip I was finally able to surprise Emily’s mum with them.

I didn’t realise at the time, but the photos capture the 60th birthday of my mother-in-law’s father. We just happened to be in town for her own 60th birthday, so the timing could not have been more perfect.

Thank you so much to for bringing these photos back to life and helping us save them for future generations.
