Want that dreamy, blurry background that makes your subject leap off the screen?

It's called shallow Depth of Field (DoF), and here’s
exactly how to get it:

1⃣ Go Low (f-number): Set your aperture WIDE open. Use the lowest f-stop your lens
allows (f/1.8, f/2.8, f/4). This is non-negotiable.
2⃣ Create Space: Pull your subject away from the background. The more distance
between them and what's behind them, the more it blurs. Think feet, not inches!
3⃣ Get Closer (or Zoom): Step closer to your subject OR use a longer lens (zoom in). This
magnifies the blur effect.
4⃣ Longer Lens Magic: An 85mm or 135mm lens will give you more blur than a 35mm,
even at the same f-stop. Lens choice matters!
Combine these – especially low f-stop + distance + longer lens – and BOOM.
Professional-looking portraits. I hope this helps!
