Walking through the bamboo forests in Kyoto. If you want to avoid the huge crowds at Arashiyama and have the place basically to yourself, this is the perfect place to check out.
It’s a smaller bamboo forest but the stairs help give a nice foreground to the images.

A rare moment without people walking through this historic and popular spot in Kyoto. Patience was needed to capture this shot but it’s my favourite image of the trip. The golden lights bouncing off the path and illuminating the beautiful architecture around it, making it a classic Japanese scene.
Night walks and explores are a must when in this beautiful town.
