There’s a personal backstory to my connection with this beautiful Mumma.
After my own difficult birth, Hannah, a paediatrician, made the time to stop by and check in on us after my daughter had been taken into emergency care just hours after she was born. In those overwhelming first hours of motherhood, seeing a kind, familiar face was deeply comforting as I tried to navigate this completely new terrain. Her kindness in that moment has never left me.
Years later, being asked to photograph Hannah during the pregnancy of her second child, with a family session to follow, felt particularly meaningful.
There’s something very special about the way our lives can circle back to one another. To now have the opportunity to document this chapter of her motherhood, after the care she showed me at the very beginning of mine, feels like a beautiful kind of full circle.
Thank you, Hannah, for trusting me with these photographs. 🤍
