Just think of it as a chilled Saturday morning with your family, cos that’s literally what it is. Don’t overthink it. Let’s have fun.

You think you couldn’t possibly love anything more than you already love your kiddies… and then you have another bubba.

And your heart grows bigger (along with the amount of clothes and toys in your house), and you can’t imagine life without this sweet, squishy cherub.

Spring!!!!!

Does anyone else get that excited, anticipationy feeling when a new season rolls around? I’m SO pumped that winter is over. We’ve got lots of garden projects happening in the Hamer house and I absolutely cannot wait to see our vision come to life so we can enjoy our garden even more in Summer.

We also get this beautiful morning sun in winter and spring that comes right in at the end of our house and stretches all the way to the front. I just love that my son decided to plonk himself down in this exact spot with a book, PJs on, hair doing what it always does: whatever it wants, AND that he stayed still so I could take this pic.

I just thought this little moment deserved to live on my grid.

Enjoy! X

If these photos aren’t proof that everyone can have fun at their family photoshoot, then I don’t know what else is.

These beautiful, fun-filled images happen when Mum and Dad lead the way.

When they let go of the idea of having to get the perfect photo. When they get silly, have a laugh, and focus completely on their kids - no screens or work to distract them.

Throw in lots of tickling, cuddles, chasing, laughing... and, of course, a couple of fart jokes.

This is what you get.

Family photos that are full of their personality, joy and connection. Photos that represent your whole world exactly as it is right now.

There isn't a big enough love heart emoji to express the feeling you get from looking at these images!

I just feel like this little guy deserves his very own spot on my grid.

I met him back in April, I'll be photographing him again in October and I'm so looking forward to seeing how much he has grown.

I also think this is a perfect time for me to tell you about my return client thank you! For all my past clients (you know who you are), when you book another session in with me you receive a very big thank you in a form of a juicy discount to your session.

It's my way of saying thank you for trusting me to capture your moments and welcoming me into your home (again).

Here is the magic sauce for creating beautiful photos just like these...

A family willing to step into their front yard (even when it's freezing).
Some chalk (that starts on the footpath and somehow ends up all over the kids' faces).
A game of chasey.
The kids' bikes.
Parents willing to risk getting just a little too dizzy from spinning their children around.
Lots of laughter.
A few snotty nose wipes.

So basically... Just an ordinary morning with your family in your front yard.

In 5, 10 or 15 years, your family will look different. Your children will be bigger. The bikes will be gone. The chalk drawings will have long since washed away.

And if you're anything like me, you'd give just about anything to step back into one ordinary morning like this.

That's exactly what these photos are for.

It's never lost on me that you're welcoming me into your newborn bubble.

That hazy, sleep deprived, figuring-it-all-out, soaking up EVERY second kind of bubble.

It's such a privilege, and I never take it for granted.

I'm always so interested in hearing your story. How did your birth go? What's been the hardest part? What's surprised you? What's been your absolute favourite thing about becoming this little person's mum?

Honestly... tell me everything. I love hearing it all.

My Welcome Home sessions are allll about bottling up this season before it slips through your fingers. Before the newborn scrunch disappears. Before those tiny stretches become big ones. Before you're dropping your little one off for their very first day of kinder.

These days feel endless while you're in them, but somehow they're over in the blink of an eye.

I only have a handful of sessions left for 2026, and I would absolutely love to come and hear your birth story while documenting this beautiful, fleeting chapter for your family.

A little pop of colour for your feed today.

Yes, I take wildly beautiful photos of you and your people in the comfort of your home.

However...

If you have a toddler, chances are a huge part of your family life happens just outside your front door. The footpath where they insist on walking by themselves. The little laneway with the colourful mural. The neighbour's flowers they stop to admire every single morning. The park that's only a two minute walk away.

Those places matter, too.

They're an extension of your home because they're where so many ordinary, beautiful memories are made.

I remember there was a fence down an alley near our house with a picture of a cat painted on it. Every. Single. Day. My daughter had to go and see that cat. At the time it felt so ordinary, but now it's one of those little memories I'd give anything to step back into.

Childhood isn't still.

It's running.
It's spinning.
It's "Wait for me!"
It's holding hands one second and arguing over the same stick the next.
It's climbing on Mum because she's the safest place in the world.
It's changing clothes for the 10th time just for the fun of it.
It's jumping on Dad just because he's lying on the bed.

So if you're worried your children "won't sit still"...

Please don't be.

Some of (actually most of) my favourite photographs happen because they don't.

Movement isn't something I work against. It's something I 100% encourage.

If these movement filled photos totally speak to you and your family, DM me and let's book a time for your own fun family photos.
